As an NCAA Division 1 Track & Field athlete and an experienced coach, I bring a deep understanding of the sport, a passion for helping others succeed, and a commitment to guiding athletes to reach their fullest potential. My years of competitive experience at the collegiate level, combined with a coaching role at a high school program, have equipped me with the expertise to develop personalized training plans tailored to each athlete’s unique goals and needs. Whether you’re striving to improve your speed, endurance, technique, or just overall fitness, I create strategies that are as focused and specific as your ambitions. Beyond the technical aspects of coaching, I prioritize mentorship. I believe in fostering strong relationships with my athletes, instilling qualities like discipline, resilience, and a growth mindset that extend far beyond the track. My approach is not just about physical performance; it’s about building confidence and empowering athletes to tackle challenges in all areas of life. Each training session is designed with intention, focusing on the athlete’s progress and celebrating their growth along the way. Safety and longevity are also central to my coaching philosophy. My expertise in injury prevention and recovery ensures that every workout is not only effective but sustainable, minimizing risk and supporting long-term development. I understand the importance of balancing intense training with proper recovery, and I integrate this knowledge into every aspect of my coaching. What drives me most is the opportunity to inspire and empower athletes. Whether you’re preparing for your next competition or just starting your journey in track and field, I am dedicated to helping you unlock your potential and achieve milestones you never thought possible. Together, we’ll work toward your goals and take your performance to the next level.

Generally, I will submit you to a training plan that is broken up into two week periods. Within these periods, you will typically do 4 workouts and two long run efforts (two workouts and one long run effort per week). I would also have you do occational all out efforts to test where your fitness is at that time. I will want you to keep me update during these periods to adjust as needed.
Training sessions can vary in multiple ways depending on what you want out of it. These sessions will mostly consist what what you and I deem necessary at the time. Some options can include the following:
Discussions on weekly training, mileage, diet management, injury prevention, goals, etc.
A workout that is tailored to what our goals are for the future.
An easy run where we can talk about all things running and anything else.
Creating a two week training plan for you to follow and keep me updated on.
There is no limit to how our sessions can go!
I am an assistant coach for the boys high school cross country and track team at Central Valley High School. I have helped Coach Chuck Bowden develop young athletes and prepare them for the grueling demand of high school sports. Here are some of my duties and accomplishments from this job: Supported daily practice routines for a team of 30+ high school athletes, focusing on performance and endurance. Improved individual 5K times across the team, with a 9.5% (2:18 min) average reduction per athlete and a 7.7% (1:16 min) average reduction for Varsity athletes. Designed and led targeted workouts to enhance both physical and mental endurance. Cultivated team cohesion and motivation through impactful speeches and personalized interactions with athletes.
The best coach that I have ever had would have to be Josh Seitz. Coach Seitz was my coach at Portland State University and has laid a lot of the foundation behind my training philosophies. He introduced me to the 2 workout/1 long run a week training program. I recall spending multiple hours in his office talking about different aspects of running. From training plans to individual workouts to easy run paces to dietary habits. He taught me a lot of what I know involving elite training. He was also the person who provided me with a pace chart that I later used to create my own complex pace chart using vV02 maxes and aerobic thresholds.
Coaching - I am a very analytics based coach. I have a Bachelor's degree in applied mathematics and understand the progress that can be made through calculated decisions. The workouts that I create are methodical and well thought out. I have seen hundreds of different athletes with all different types of training regimens and body types, and I believe that anyone can become significantly better if they are guided in the right direction.
Personal - I am also a guys who lives in the same world as you. I have interests and friends that I love to be around. I'm very active and might even go out for a few runs with you. I'm finishing up my last year as a track athlete at Eastern Washington University and earning my Master's degree in Organizational leadership. I like snowboarding, board games, frisbee golf and eating all the food I can get my hands on!

Meet your coach in-person or virtually, and start chasing down your goals!
If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.
