Hello athletes, my name is Coach Mimi. I am a former multi-sport athlete currently in college for my Athletic Trainers. I have a huge love for helping athletes succeed in the sport they love! I coach in numerous areas, softball, baseball, swim, motocross, soccer, basketball, and more. I focus on athletes skills, habits, mental health, learning and outlook on their sport are all part of being an athlete. I believe training, lifting, and everyday to day life are what needs to be done to practice being the best. I show up everyday, mentally and physically, for my athletes and focus on them. Athletes are not just their sport as a person, I will listen and work with my athlete no matter what life may throw at you. We work together to make you the best at what you love!

About Me:

My name is Ephemia but my athletes call me Coach Mimi. I am a first year coach who loves helping athletes, no matter the age, stay in the sport they love and remember what got them to fall in love with it in the first place. Ever since childhood sports have been my life, through injury and life's challenges, it continues to be one of my biggest passions in life.

We do drills that you can do at home that work on skill, strength, and speed.

Analyzing what feels wrong in movements or skills, do video analysis in game and practice.

Talk through mentality in game and out, what you do day to day for nutrition, mental health, sleep, and stretching.

Get ready to train and do dynamic stretching before we start

Running or on a bike to get moving.

Warm-up and plyometrics, specific movements for the skills of the day

Full drills and game scenarios, with some video analysis

Session ends with whatever the athlete feels need work or a fun drill/game

Static stretches, debrief, and reflect. Talk about what the athlete would like to work on next session

Career summary and accomplishments:

4 year varsity softball athlete. Varsity swim, varsity starter for soccer, basketball, and hockey. Women's motocross athlete and EMS. All in Washington State. I was always taught to give my all in sports, the work I put in when no one is looking is what made me a top athlete no matter the sport or injury.

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I had was with me from my freshman year through my senior year of softball. I say he was the best coach because he focused on our mental health, in school, softball and at home. I dislocated my elbow during my senior he focused on my recovery, always checking in, talking with my athletic trainer, parents, and me. He always cared about his athletes as the people we were, not just as another player on the field. He saw us when we were struggling with our lives and always pulled us aside to make sure we were okay and asking what he could do to support us as people. Home life my senior year was rough, and 2 days before state I dislocated my elbow for the final time, taking me out from playing in state. Through it all he was there for me.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I will always be early and available for calls and texting. I understand life happens and will work with the athlete and parents. Respect and trust are given when earned. Time slots can be adjusted, they are a general reference, I can work as best as possible with athletes.

I am willing to travel as well as book spaces for specific needs.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
