Helping young athletes build focus, confidence & resilience under pressure

I'm a mental performance coach with a Master's in Sport Psychology and a background in cognitive-behavioral techniques. I've worked with teenage, collegiate, and professional baseball players, soccer players, and basketball athletes to build focus cues, pre-performance routines, and visualization skills that help them stay locked in under pressure. My goal is to create a space where athletes feel safe talking through slumps, nerves, or setbacks — and leave every session with real tools they can use in their next performance.

About me

I'm a huge lover of sports and helping others become better at what they do. Mental performance coaching provided me a path to do both, and I have never looked back! I earned my Master's in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior from the University of Tennessee, and have since built a strong background in cognitive-behavioral approaches that help athletes perform under pressure. I've worked with teenage baseball players, semi-pro soccer players, and high school basketball athletes — helping them build focus cues, pre-performance routines, and visualization techniques that hold up when the pressure's on. I'm also currently pursuing a doctorate in Leadership, which I'm using to help grow and formalize my coaching practice. For me, this work is about more than just physical mechanics — it's about helping athletes build real mental tools they can rely on in the game and beyond. Ultimately, my goal is to raise the expectation by "making the optimum the new average", normalizing optimal performance among all athletes instead of it only occurring as a rare phenomenon.

My approach is holistic — I don't just look at what's happening on the field or the court, I take time to understand how an athlete actually experiences pressure, competition, and setbacks in their own words, since no two athletes carry the same story into the game. From there, we work on practical tools: focus cues you can use in the moment, pre-performance routines that create consistency before competition, and visualization techniques to mentally rehearse success before it happens. I also spend real time creating a space where athletes feel safe talking through slumps, nerves, or setbacks — because you can't fix what you won't admit to, and the biggest breakthroughs usually start with an honest conversation.

Every session starts with you — I ask what's actually on your mind, whether that's a specific game coming up, a slump you're trying to break, or something that's been messing with your confidence. From there, we build the session around what you actually need that day, not a one-size-fits-all script. Some days that means walking through imagery and visualization exercises; other days it's building or adjusting a pre-performance routine; other days it's simply talking through what's going on and figuring out the real issue together. My philosophy is simple: you know yourself better than I ever will, so my job isn't to hand you a generic plan — it's to guide you toward the tools and routines that actually work for your mind and your game.

I hold a B.S. in Psychology from Morehouse College and an M.S. in Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior from the University of Tennessee, where I also served as a graduate teaching assistant in the PE Activity Program. I've worked as a mental performance coach across multiple sports — baseball, soccer, and basketball — with athletes ranging from teenagers to professionals, and I'm a certified personal trainer with experience helping clients of all backgrounds build sustainable, healthy training habits. I've also led mental skills workshops for organizations and served as a guest lecturer for Morehouse's Psychology department, teaching students how to apply behavioral science to sport psychology and beyond. I'm currently pursuing a doctorate in Leadership to further scale my coaching and wellness practice.

I'm always about putting the client first! My success is defined only by whether athletes feel they have grown in their mental toughness during their time working with me. My goal is to help every client reach a level of self-sustainability, where they eventually learn to identify mental triggers and employ mental skills and strategies without my assistance. Reliance is not the objective; self-regulation is.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
