Why Train With Me?

I'm 27 years old. I've played tennis for over a decade! I love the sport, and am excited and looking forward to coaching you or a loved one in order for you to learn the skills necessary to dominate on the court. As well as, teaching you how to think about each tennis match, not as a game but instead as a battle of life or death- in this way you can win a lot more and have a lot more fun! You have to trick your brain into thinking the game's outcome is important in order to reverse engineer a win. Every point counts! Feel free to call or text me for booking details at 724-991-1326.

Athletic Background

Summary of Career and Accomplishments
4 years starting varsity singles in High School 2 years varsity in college
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
College tennis, I had a coach who would be so positive and supportive that, though he himself wasn't the greatest player, led our team to win many, MANY matches.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
There is a physical game of tennis- that part is somewhat east and straightforward to coach. Forehands, backhands, serve, and volley. Then, there's the mental game of tennis- you have to convince yourself you're going to win no matter what it takes, and that the outcome of the tennis game is important: then, and only then, will you see a radical improvement in your game and in the spirit inside of you that it takes to become a winner.

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
I coached youth summer camps in high school and college. I also used to do private sessions with kids who wanted to improve.
How can you help someone improve their game?
Mind over matter, consistency over power. Practice is one side to it, but more than anything, you have to convince yourself you're going to win- this is the heart of a champion. The only way to have this is to be increasingly engaged in the point you're playing, every point, bringing life or death importance into the game, if that's what it takes- and it many time is.
What does a typical training session look like?
Warm ups, groundstrokes, Volleys, Serves w/ pressure, Playing points/matches, then a cooldown.
