Get to know Dylan

Helping baseball players reach their potential through discipline and hard work.

I’m a former college baseball player with experience at the Division I and NAIA levels. My coaching style is hard-nosed, disciplined, and focused on doing things the right way. I don’t believe in shortcuts or settling for average. I push athletes to go beyond their expectations while creating an environment where they can grow both on and off the field. I understand that every player is different, so I adapt my communication and coaching approach to what brings out the best in each athlete.

About me

My name is Dylan, and I’m a former collegiate baseball player with a passion for helping athletes develop both on and off the field. I was a four-year varsity baseball player at St. John Bosco High School, where I was named First Team All-League for the 2021–2022 season.

After high school, I continued my baseball career at the collegiate level. I played at Lipscomb University, competing at the NCAA Division I level, before continuing my career at Saddleback College, where I was part of a State Championship team. I then continued my collegiate career at The Master’s University, where I played during the 2025–2026 seasons.

I am currently pursuing opportunities to continue playing baseball professionally or potentially compete for a fifth year of college baseball. My experiences at different levels of baseball have given me a strong understanding of what it takes to compete, improve, and succeed as an athlete.

Alongside my playing career, I have 4+ years of coaching experience working with athletes ages 6–18. I’ve worked with players of different ages, skill levels, and backgrounds, helping them develop their fundamentals, confidence, athleticism, and overall understanding of the game.

My goal as a coach is to provide athletes with the same type of guidance and knowledge that helped me throughout my own career. I believe in creating a positive and challenging environment where players can have fun, build confidence, and continuously work toward becoming the best version of themselves on the field.

My coaching style is built around **high standards, accountability, preparation, and development**\. I’m a hard\-nosed coach who believes that success comes from consistently doing the little things the right way\. I don’t believe in taking shortcuts or settling for the minimum\. If something is worth doing, I believe it is worth doing correctly and putting in the extra work to get the most out of it\.

I want my athletes to understand that development doesn’t happen overnight\. It comes from showing up consistently, being willing to learn, and being willing to push yourself outside of your comfort zone\. I’m going to challenge my athletes and hold them accountable, but I also want them to understand *why* we are doing what we are doing\. My goal is not just to make an athlete better for one practice or one game, but to help build habits that will continue to benefit them throughout their career\.

**Communication is also a major part of my coaching philosophy\.** I understand that every player is different\. Athletes have different personalities, learning styles, confidence levels, and ways that they respond to coaching\. Some players respond well to being pushed and challenged, while others may need more encouragement, explanation, or a different approach\. I make an effort to recognize those differences and adapt the way I communicate with each individual athlete\.

At the same time, adapting my communication does not mean lowering my standards\. I want every athlete to know what is expected of them and understand that I genuinely care about their development\. I believe athletes respond best when they know their coach is invested in helping them succeed\.

My experience as a player has also shaped the way I coach\. I’ve been coached at different levels and have experienced the pressure, challenges, failures, and successes that come with competitive baseball\. I understand what it is like to work toward a goal, compete for an opportunity, and have to continuously prove yourself\. I want to use those experiences to help athletes avoid mistakes, build confidence, and understand what it takes to reach the next level\.

With **4\+ years of coaching experience working with athletes ages 6–18**, I’ve learned that coaching is about much more than teaching mechanics\. It’s about building relationships, earning trust, developing confidence, teaching discipline, and helping athletes become better competitors and better people.

Every training session with me is designed with one goal in mind: to make the athlete better than they were when they walked in. I don’t believe in wasting time or simply going through the motions. Each session has a purpose, and I expect athletes to bring focus, energy, and a willingness to work.

During the first few sessions, one of my biggest priorities is getting to know the athlete. Before I can truly coach someone, I want to understand how they move, how they approach drills, how they respond to instruction, what they naturally do well, where they struggle, and how they think through the game. I want to learn the player as an individual rather than immediately trying to force them into a specific system. This allows us to get on the same page and build a relationship where the athlete understands what I’m asking of them and I understand how to best coach them.

Once I have a better understanding of the athlete, we can begin tailoring training specifically to their needs and goals. We’ll typically start with a dynamic warm-up and movement preparation, followed by position-specific work and drills designed around the areas we want to develop. Depending on the player, this could include hitting, throwing, fielding, catching, footwork, athletic movement, or other baseball-specific skills.

Best Coach I ever had is Rodney Davis. He helped me really understand how to think things through, and how to develop myself as a baseball player.

Other coaches that had made a huge impact on me is 108 Performance, really teaching me what it takes to be a successful hitter, and how to properly move efficiently.

I’m a coach that’s gonna push a player to get better. I believe that if you put the wok in, you can really be the player that you need. I want to be able to fit the players needs. I understand players move/think differently, so my goal is to adapt to the player. If I adapt to how the player is, that’s where we see progress

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

  • Good Fit Guarantee — If your first lesson isn't the right fit, we'll move your lesson credit to a new coach. No hassle.
