Athletic Background
Summary of Career and Accomplishments
Currently, I am playing for Drexel University. I graduated from Friends Select School in center city, playing four years of Varsity Basketball. I am a 1000 point scorer and competed in AAU tournaments for Philly Blue Magic and Jersey Shore Warriors.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach I've had is Percell Coles. He has taught me most of what I know and how to approach the game of Basketball best suited to me as an individual. From shooting mechanics to life, Coach Coles has played a major impact in shaping who I am today.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I strongly emphasize the mental aspect of playing. I think it's extremely hard to become a complete player without mastering the mental side of athletics. As a player, this part has always been something that I've worked hard to improve, and it is an ongoing process that I continue to strive on improving.
Coaching Background
Summary of Coaching Background
Most of my coaching experience comes from coaching youth teams for Asian Basketball Championships of North America (ABCNA). In addition, I was able to help out at multiple clinics and summer camps at the Northern Liberties Recreation center, teaching kids the fundamentals of Basketball.
How can you help someone improve their game?
Every player has room for improvement. Either working to perfect one aspect of basketball or working to be able to compete at a certain level physically or mentally. My goal is to help players figure out where they would like basketball to take them, and how to best achieve that goal. Whether it be improving fitness or improving reading the defense.
What does a typical training session look like?
Each training session should be unique to each individual based on goals. Improving as a point guard will revolve heavily around making reads off of the pick and roll. Improving defensively can include learning different footworks and how to best stop on a dime.
