Developing Better Players and Stronger Athletes

I help young athletes develop their baseball skills, athletic performance, and confidence through individualized instruction focused on fundamentals, baseball IQ, and explosive strength and agility training. My coaching philosophy combines high-level development with an engaging, motivational approach that challenges athletes to reach their potential while never losing sight of the love of the game.

About me

Baseball has been a major part of my life, and my passion for the game is what drives me to help develop the next generation of athletes. Having played four years of college baseball, earned All-Conference honors at both the high school and collegiate levels, and competed on a high school team that finished as state runner-up, I understand the dedication, discipline, and commitment required to succeed in this sport. My experience has given me a strong foundation in the fundamentals of baseball, but more importantly, it has taught me valuable lessons about teamwork, mental toughness, preparation, and personal growth.

Today, I work as a Director of Operations, where I have developed professional skills in leadership, communication, organization, accountability, and team development. I believe these skills translate directly to coaching and player development. My goal is not simply to help athletes become better baseball players, but to help them build confidence, develop a strong work ethic, and learn habits that will benefit them both on and off the field.

Hitting mechanics: Developing efficient swing mechanics, improving timing, strengthening pitch recognition habits, and building a consistent approach at the plate.

Infield footwork: Improving footwork, glove positioning, body control, throwing transitions, and overall defensive efficiency.

Pitching mechanics: Working on mechanics, balance, movement patterns, and repeatable delivery to support consistency and control.

Mental approach to the game: Teaching preparation, situational awareness, confidence, resilience, and the ability to stay composed through both success and adversity.

Through target strength training and mechanical analysis, I will help you hit the ball harder, throw with more velocity, and move more efficiently.

Dynamic Warm-Up: Prepare the body for activity through dynamic stretching, mobility work, and movement preparation to promote efficient movement and help reduce injury risk.

Throwing Progression: Build proper throwing mechanics, arm care habits, accuracy, and consistency through a structured throwing routine.

Defensive Fundamentals and Ground Balls: Develop infield footwork, glove work, body positioning, fielding mechanics, and efficient transitions from fielding to throwing.

Situational Awareness and Baseball IQ: Practice game scenarios to improve decision-making, communication, anticipation, and understanding of the strategy behind each play. The goal is to teach athletes not just how to make a play, but why they are making it.

Hitting or Pitching Instruction: Provide individualized instruction based on the athlete's goals and areas of development. Hitting sessions focus on swing mechanics, timing, approach, and consistency at the plate. Pitching sessions focus on mechanics, balance, repeatability, and command.

Speed, Agility, and Explosiveness: Finish with athletic performance training focused on first-step quickness, acceleration, lateral movement, rotational power, and explosiveness. Exercises are tailored to the athlete's age, experience, and physical readiness.

I played 4 years of College Baseball. This capped with my senior year batting .417 with an OPS over .1200. I was selected as an all conference player.

After college I began a career in Healthcare Operations. I currently work as a Director of Operations, managing dozens of leaders across the Nation.

One of the most influential people in my baseball career was my high school coach, Joe Hughes, a former professional third baseman who played within the Baltimore Orioles' farm system. He had an unmatched knowledge of the game and taught me the importance of sound fundamentals, situational awareness, and understanding the strategy behind every play. He showed me that success in baseball comes from much more than physical ability; it comes from preparation, attention to detail, and learning how to think the game.

However, one of the most important lessons he taught me had little to do with mechanics or strategy. He reminded us that baseball is, first and foremost, a game. His goal each season was not only to develop better players, but to help turn young athletes into responsible, confident young adults while making sure they continued to enjoy the sport.

That philosophy has stayed with me throughout my playing career and into my professional life. I believe young athletes perform best when they are challenged, supported, and encouraged in an environment where they feel comfortable learning from mistakes. I strive to create that environment through an engaging, positive, and motivational coaching style that emphasizes improvement without losing sight of why we play the game.

Although I take my professional career seriously, and treated baseball with the same level of commitment while I was playing, time and experience have given me a different perspective on what it takes to excel in the game.

Hard work, discipline, and accountability are essential. But I have also learned that players need to enjoy the process. Baseball can be a demanding sport, filled with failure, frustration, and constant opportunities to learn. The best development happens when athletes are willing to work hard, embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and genuinely enjoy competing.

I bring an approach that is engaging, encouraging, and motivational. I want athletes to leave each session feeling more confident, better prepared, and excited to get back on the field. I will challenge players to push beyond their comfort zones while making sure they understand that development is a process, not an overnight achievement.

Ultimately, my goal is to help young athletes become better players, stronger competitors, and more confident individuals. Whether we are working on swing mechanics, infield fundamentals, pitching, athletic performance, or the mental side of the game, I want every player to understand that improvement comes from consistency, effort, and a willingness to learn.

I love this game, and I want to pass that passion on to the next generation. If I can help an athlete improve their skills, build confidence, develop a stronger work ethic, and leave the field loving baseball even more than when they arrived, then I consider that a successful day of coaching.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
