I'm a Mental Performance coach specializing in helping athletes strengthen their mental game to maximize their physical performance. With a doctorate in Sport and Performance Psychology and over a decade of experience coaching individuals and teams, I focus on building mental toughness, boosting confidence, and reducing performance-related stress. I help athletes achieve peak performance levels through mental skills training focused on performance enhancement, mental toughness, increased confidence, and stress reduction. Using proven strategies like visualization, self-talk, emotional regulation, and proper goal setting techniques, I teach athletes how to stay focused and composed under pressure, recover quickly from setbacks, and consistently bring out their best when it matters most.
Each session is designed to be practical, personalized, and immediately applicable to your sport. We'll start by identifying the areas you want to strengthen such as confidence, focus, or motivation. Then, through guided exercises, visualization techniques, and performance planning strategies, we'll develop a customized plan to help you apply these tools directly to your daily routine. Every session will leave you with clear, actionable steps to build your mental edge and elevate your overall performance.
I played baseball through college, and, in my second year, I helped my team win the JUCO National Championship and earned the Defensive MVP award while playing a position (1st base) I had never played before that season. My firsthand experiences as a collegiate athlete showed me just how critical the mental side of performance is for success. I began studying psychology early in high school and college, eventually earning my Master's and Doctoral degrees focused specifically on sport, exercise, and performance psychology. Since then, I've helped individual athletes and teams overcome challenges like performance slumps and the yips, empowering them to break through mental barriers and unlock their full potential.
The best coach I ever had was my dad, a hall of fame college baseball coach. He taught me the fundamentals of every sport I played and, more importantly, showed me the value of a positive mindset. From a young age, he encouraged me to focus on what went well during games and practices, even when things didn't go perfectly. His approach taught me to find lessons in every experience and to always view challenges from a constructive perspective. Today, that same mindset influences the way I coach athletes: helping them see opportunities for growth in every situation while providing instruction that is positive, direct, and supportive.
My coaching style is direct, supportive, and positive. I believe clarity and focus are essential, and I work hard to make sure my athletes get the specific, actionable feedback they need without feeling overwhelmed. What sets me apart is the combination of personal experience and advanced education: growing up around high-level collegiate athletics from a young age gave me unique insight into the mental demands of sports, and my doctorate-level education allows me to blend proven mental training techniques with real-world experience. My goal with every athlete is simple: to build mental toughness, increase confidence, and enhance performance not just in their sport, but in every area of their life.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
