Hey there! After coaching for almost a decade at the collegiate, high school, & middle school levels, I am excited to take on athletes of all ages with the goal of supporting, encouraging, & coming alongside for the journey. My philosophy includes a long-term, holistic approach that builds on current experience, considers outside and internal training & life stressors, utilizes goal setting, and emphasizes stages of development and growth. I believe coaching should be athlete-centered, coming alongside YOU to fit sport into your life (and not the other way around). I take a "long-term gains" approach over short-term wins: Results with me are not always immediate, but this sport asks for long-term investment to achieve the most out of ourselves, while also preventing burnout. Together we will craft a multi-faceted training plan that monitors and adapts to your progress along the way. Prior to our first meeting, I will send you a required questionnaire in order to gain insight over your experience, goals, challenges, and needs. Please note that my rates reflect ongoing training and communication after the lesson, not solely the one hour meeting (see below). I look forward to meeting you!

I am an Ohio native residing in the Eastern Panhandle of Almost Heaven West Virginia. I am a wife, mom, & dog mom, who recently took a step away from "career" coaching in order to be more available for my own family. After a long, fulfilling time running, I transitioned into racing bicycles and currently compete in the elite women's field in the niche discipline of cyclocross. In my free time, my "extra" hobbies include playing classical guitar, gardening, hiking, & running our crazy "sled" dogs off the bike!
After getting to know you at our first session, I will create and send a training plan for you (bi-weekly or for the month, priced accordingly). At the end of the plan, we will schedule another call to touch base. Plans are sent after coaching calls, as I need feedback in order to create your personalized plan and monitor progress. You are also free to message me throughout the training period in order to ask questions or adapt/flex your plan as needed! :)
My focus is coaching virtually, however if you are local to the tri-state/DMV area, we can schedule an in-person workout (I come to you!) to work on drills, technique, running form, or coach a specific workout.
Personal:

NCAA DII athlete in cross country/track at Queens University of Charlotte
NCAA DII Nationals individual and team qualifier (cross country)

PRs: 17:28 (5k track & road), 21:22 (6k cross country), 5:09 (true English mile), 10:07 (3k)
Coaching:
Coached NCAA DII men's & women's cross country for 4 years
Coached WV AAA high school (cross country/track) 4 years
Coached 2 years WV middle school track
Have coached a girls team to 3rd at the xc state meet, boys team to 4th (2x)
Have coached from 400m up to 2 mile in track. Career accomplishments include coaching a 1:53 800m runner and multiple students went on to run cross country/track at DI, DII, and DIII schools.
All of them! I have had the privilege of gleaning from many, many coaches, and each one had a certain influence, presence, and workout tool box that have all have impacted my personal coaching style.
**My rates reflect consistent, ongoing, and flexible communication/training plans. I believe coaching distance runners is limited with one sit-down meeting, therefore the rate per "lesson" that you are paying also includes the training for the month and consistent feedback, guidance, and encouragement beyond the hour lesson.**
I coach athletes from 800 meters up to the half marathon.
I request that parents sit in for at least the first meeting and are welcome to be at subsequent coaching sessions.
The athlete should be the primary client giving feedback, however as a parent, you are also part of the support team! I believe it to be beneficial for the parent to know the plan in order to support as best as possible :)
*All in-person sessions require a parent present, at least on-site.*
My own personal philosophy is also that if you have a high school coach *in-season*, I am not your primary coach at that time. If you still wish to work with me in-season, I can lower your coaching $ rate and act more as a consultant (think race prep, strategy/tactics, race season fueling, nerves/race visualization, cross training through injury, adding a long run to your schedule, or support through recruiting/college prep).

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
Good Fit Guarantee — If your first lesson isn't the right fit, we'll move your lesson credit to a new coach. No hassle.
Easy rescheduling — Cancel or reschedule up to 4 hours before a lesson, no questions asked.
Coach no-shows — You'll be fully credited and we'll help you find a replacement.
Flexible credits — Unused lessons last 12 months and can be used with any coach on the platform.
