About Me:

I have been playing basketball most of my life. I played both AAU and High School growing up. My AAU team came in third place in nationals growing up! High school I played in Mutiple ECC and state tournaments! I started out as a center a transition to forward later in high school. In college I was an athlete but focused on lacrosse. Lacrosse was fun but basketball was always my favorite sport!

How I can help you improve your game:

I can help someone improve their game by working with them on skills that go hand to hand with the game directly. I have been working with student athletes at the middle school and high school level for over 8 years and have help develop shots both jump shots and layups. I have also worked on developing handles and defensive stance. The biggest thing for young athletes I find is confidence and feeling that they can use these skills in a game!

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical taring session would start with basic shot training. then going more into pass and cuts and proper way to use pump fakes and how to drive. Defensive and rebounding is also a huge part of this game so getting a proper stance and knowing how to box out and accelerating to the ball coming off the rim is a big part of the game! Cardio is also very important to basketball getting up and down the court, so this will be a big part of the training.

Career summary and accomplishments:

My coaching background starts as an Assistant at Ledyard Middle school. My responsibilities included: developing players and helping making plays. I then moved on to The Williams School where I started as an Assistant and became the head coach a year later. As head coach my first year we went winless trying to re-vamp a program that has not won a game in a couple of years. In my second year we finish with a 5-8 record winning our last 4 games. This year we have started 3-1 and have a bright future in front of us!

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I had growing up was my AAU basketball coach, Coach Kenny. He recently passed away and is the reason why I am coaching today. He was a huge influence on my life making me a better basketball player and teaching me about life. I think that is crucial for a coach to improve and plyer but to also teach young athlete life is tough and you got to work for what you want! The lesson he taught me I think about every day. He was also my best coach because he made my team a family and made sure everyone knew we could go to him for any problem on or off the court!

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Athlete and parents should know about me that I work at Pfizer and coach weekdays so sometime my schedule fills up pretty quickly. Weekends will always be best time for me. Also, I work with players from all skill levels so if your young athlete has just started or has been playing for a couple of years, I can change my training schedule to best fit their needs! I will work with the parent and Athlete to see the best way to go about it and make sure that everyone in agreement before proceeding with the training.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.

Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.
