Get to know Connor

I train my athletes at max velocity while keeping them healthy and rested.

Athletes should train with me because I have years of running and sprinting experience, so I've been in their shoes. I know how to train agility and speed without exhausting and running athletes into the ground. I don't do normal "conditioning." My athletes use maximum effort on ever repetition and in response to that, they get plenty of rest because tired is the enemy during my training.

About me

Hi! My name is Connor and I am a student at Xavier University studying sport management with a minor in business and coaching leadership. In high school I ran cross country and was a track sprinter. I have previously coached high school track sprinters, basketball players, and football players in the Greater Cincinnati Area. I want to coach athletes to be the best version of themselves on and off the field, court, and track.

I will help improve your game by developing speed and acceleration. I do this by giving athletes short, fast, speed workouts and pairing that with lots of rest, sprinting form development, and injury prevention.

A typical training session with me would focus on speed and acceleration. The first few minutes I would have the athlete warm up by running about 200-400 meters, then I would have them do a list of dynamic stretches. After that, the athlete would run short sprints at max velocity with anywhere from 3-6 minutes rest in between each repetition depending on the distance. After the sprints, the athlete would do technical work, (starting blocks for track, sprint form, relay handoffs, plyos, etc.) This would all add up to about 2 hours of total training. I will always have my workouts written down in a notebook and I will never waste any time.

Starting with some of my high school career accomplishments as a runner, boys varsity track and field for 6 years, 6x Boys NKAC DIII Team Champions, 6x alternate 4x1, 4x2, 4x4, and 4x8 runner at the KHSAA State Meet.

My first year (2026 season) track coaching accomplishments include becoming the varsity sprinting coach on Brian Rapien's staff at Villa Madonna Academy, an average of improving every athlete's sprint race time over the course of the season by 0.5-3 seconds (KY Milesplit), 2026 Girls NKAC DIII Team Champions, 2026 Boys NKAC DIII Team Runner Ups.

My personal accomplishments of fostering a great sprinting atmosphere every practice and every meet, creating a competitive sprint culture, watching my athletes grow to love the sport and want to do better every time they sprint.

The absolute best coach I've ever had was Brian Rapien at Villa Madonna Academy. He was my cross country and track coach through middle and high school. He taught me how to mentally train for races, not just training the body and that's one of my biggest takeaways from him. Mentally preparing for a race or training is imperative for success. Without a good mindset going into a race/training, no one will perform to their highest potential. Brian Rapien was also named the 2025 Enquirer - Cincinnati and Kentucky NKY Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year.

I am by nature a calm and easy-going person, but when it comes to racing or training, I am competitive. I don't ask for a lot, but one thing I do want is 100% effort from the athlete I'm coaching. I use time-based results during practice to monitor how an athlete is doing and if they are getting faster. I do this because it's the best way to improve speed because an athlete is competing with themselves and the results will be on a clock and physical piece of paper. I have researched all about speed and velocity and tested it during my first year coaching track/speed development. I am always open to answering any questions and I am great at communicating with parents and athletes.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
