About Me:

I’m Coach Cole, a professional pitcher for the Boise Hawks and former Division I two-way player at Baylor University and the University of California, Berkeley. Baseball has been my life’s passion, and I’ve learned firsthand what it takes to compete at the highest levels — preparation, consistency, and mindset. I’m big on leading by example and bringing the same energy, focus, and professionalism to every session that I bring to the field. My goal is to help young athletes develop both their skills and the mentality that fuels long-term success.

How I can help you improve your game:

I help players become complete athletes — physically, mentally, and strategically. Whether it’s improving command and velocity on the mound, refining your approach at the plate, or developing a stronger mindset, I focus on the habits and details that separate good players from great ones. You’ll learn how to prepare with purpose, manage in-game emotions, and compete with confidence. I also bring my background in Health & Kinesiology to improve mobility, recovery, and arm care.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

Each session starts with a quick conversation about your goals and what you’re working on, followed by a dynamic warm-up and focused drill work. Pitching sessions include mechanical analysis, sequencing, and command training, while hitting sessions focus on timing, approach, and situational execution. I emphasize communication and individualized feedback, ensuring every athlete walks away with clear, actionable takeaways and a plan for continued improvement between sessions. Every workout is designed to build confidence, accountability, and long-term progress.

Career summary and accomplishments:

I’ve been fortunate to play baseball at a high level throughout my career — from being a two-time Area Code Games alum in high school, to earning All-Conference and All-State honors at the junior college level. I played at Sacramento State and Folsom Lake College as a two-way player before continuing my career at Baylor University, where I earned a degree in Health and Kinesiology, and later at the University of California, Berkeley, where I completed my postgraduate studies in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. At Cal, I made 24 appearances (6 starts), throwing 45.1 innings with a 3.38 ERA, 40 strikeouts, and a .209 opponent average while helping lead the team in the ACC. I’m now playing professionally for the Boise Hawks in the Pioneer League. Along the way, I’ve developed a strong foundation in leadership, preparation, and consistency—values I bring into every coaching session. Coaching and mentoring have become a natural extension of that journey, highlighted by my experience coaching Alpha Baseball’s high school sophomores and juniors.

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I ever had was someone who cared more about the person than the player. He taught me that development isn’t just about throwing harder or hitting farther — it’s about becoming more disciplined, accountable, and confident in who you are. His approach showed me that great coaching is about connection, communication, and consistency, and that’s the same standard I hold myself to when I work with young athletes.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Athletes and parents should know that I truly care about each player I work with. I’m not just here to run drills — I’m here to help athletes grow in every aspect of their game and mindset. I lead with patience, honesty, and professionalism, and I take pride in making sure each player feels seen, supported, and challenged. My goal is to build confident, disciplined athletes who love the process as much as the game itself.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
