I believe baseball is already a stressful game, why make it anymore stressful? I was raised in baseball and lifelong exposure to this game has provided me with a passion for the game that I didn't know was possible. I believe the anyone can achieve greatness as long as they are willing to put in the work. Baseball is a game like checkers and tag. There is a strategy to win. My motto is play smart, play with a purpose but have a blast doing it. Through my vast exposure to many different coaches and teammates, I have collected as much information as I can to be the best coach I can be. It would be selfish of me to hold on to all of this knowledge.

I can help you improve your game by learning how to self-correct. My coaching philosophies revolve heavily around "feel". Can you feel why your body made a mistake? Can you feel why your hit was a ground ball to short instead of a line drive to center? I will go through our mechanical changes and have the player stop to reflect on the previous rep to feel out what their body just did. If the player cannot figure it out, I will demonstrate what they did wrong and the correct way to do it. Once they feel out that correct way and have locked on to how it feels, then they will be able to self-correct in games. I have accumulated many drills and ideas to achieve this as well. Finally, I preach to my players to ask questions. If I said something that doesn't quite register, ask me to say it another way. I am an open book to all of my players and parents.
We begin with stretching and mobility. The body cannot move right unless you prepare it to do so. While I am running the player through the warm-up, we discuss what's been going good and bad recently in games or outside practices. I will always have a lesson plan ready to go but if something else comes up that we need to address, I am always willing to adjust my plans. We will go through a progression of basic mechanical things that are good checkpoints for the player. Such as the progression of tee work (inside, middle, away, high tee, low tee, etc.). We will then deep dive into certain mechanical changes that need to be updated. Work on those and slowly work to full-scale/game-like reps. We will then always debrief at the end and discuss what went well, what could be better, and what the feels we liked vs. didn't like. I am an open book for all of these discussions. I encourage players to ask as many questions as they can so they can get better.
Began coaching my senior year of high school. I was the starting varsity catcher and was tasked with running and developing the catching staff at Williams Field High School. I then went off to play college ball where I assisted in camps the team was putting on. I always looked forward to those. After my playing career ceased, I went back to Williams Field to take over as the catching specialist. There I honed my player development skills. I didn't have the time to continue that due to my normal day job. Once I had the time to get back into coaching, I took over the 16U AZ Pro Scout team. There I developed my coaching philosophies and techniques. I am now the 18U and collegiate summer head coach of the AZ Pro Scout Team. During my time as head coach, I have also taken private lessons with players. I can coach all positions in the game but specialize in hitting, catching, and pitching.
JR House would be the best coach I have ever had the pleasure to learn from. He is currently the 3B coach for the Cincinnati Reds. JR is who I model my coaching philosophies after. He was high energy and happy-go-lucky at all times. Baseball is already a stressful game, no need for a drill sergeant of a coach. Players just do not respond to that. JR taught me many things besides baseball mechanics. He taught me how to enjoy the game and how to be myself. He also challenged me in ways i would fail successfully. He never set me up for failure to show me what could happen. He set me up for failure with a lesson in mind. 16yrs old facing machines throwing MLB quality stuff will humble you!
I love baseball. I love coaching and I especially love player development. It brings me joy to see the look the players get when a correction or adjustment works out on the field. I believe anyone can achieve greatness if they are willing to put in the work. I have such a high success rate of players moving on to better programs because the parents and players trust what i know and have to tell them. If you trust me with your time, I will make it worth it.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.
