Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best Coach I have ever had is my Dad. Since my early beginnings in the sport he was the one who pushed me to always reach the next level. My dad read and educated himself extensively within the sport. He wrote my training plans from 5th-12th grade and rode a bike next to me for countless years and miles. Without his help I would have never became the athlete, competitor, and person I am today. He truly showed and taught me how to be a track and field athlete at the highest level.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I think the most important thing to know about me is that I am very passionate and serious about the sport of Track and Field. I will push your child in sessions and try to mentor them on the drive and mental toughness that it takes to be great in this sport! However, I know in order to have success and respect for this sport you need to have fun with it! So through every step, I will do my best to ensure that your child is having fun and grows not only in skill, but also in appreciation for the sport of Track and Field.

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
7 years of NCAA Division I, II, and III coaching at various institutions. - 3 athletes reached NCAA Division I National Championships -2 athletes reaches NCAA Division I Regional Championships - 1 athlete Rookie Field athlete of the year (Discus) - countless school records broken at various institutions and in various events.
How can you help someone improve their game?
I bring a very unique perspective to my coaching style. In my personal athletic career, I was a middle distance runner (400m-1500m) but I also participated in cross country. So I know what it is like to get into blocks in the Spring season, but come Fall tow the grass line for a 5k race! Due to my event range I can talk with all different event focus areas in middle and long distance and coach them more individually. Each event takes a different mindset and training style in order to achieve success and I believe I can bring that to each individual athlete.
What does a typical training session look like?
Depending on the day, and athletic need, I will offer a few different styles of sessions! Mileage, technique, recovery, and event specific workouts!
