The main reason I would encourage anyone to train with me would be the simple fact I truly care. I truly care about my athletes success, not only on the field, but in life as well. Sports are so much more than just the physical activity of playing a game. They are entwined in our lives, our families, our dreams, and our health. So to be a successful athlete, one has to balance so many things. To be a successful coach is to understand and to care about the athletes, life and mental health more than anything. So yes, I have a lot of experience and multiple fields such as Basketball, football, track and field, and MMA/kickboxing. I was a five sport athlete in high school and a walk on for the university of Hawaii and both (Basketball) and Football). I currently train as a kickboxer and MMA fighter and I’m still an active athlete. I could go on about my past and that makes me a good coach, but like I said, I truly believe the reason athletes train with me because of my care. So if you are in need of someone who is not only a coach in sports, but a coach in life then I’m your guy. I’m excited to see what magic we can create together!

About Me:

Starting from the early age of five, I begin training in the techniques of taekwondo as well as boxing. I come from a long line of martial artist and athletes. My father and all my uncles are black belts with a few of them being in the martial arts Hall of Fame.

From there, I expanded my talents to almost any sport. I could try. My main sports being Football, Basketball, and martial arts, I was a five sport athlete and played years of tennis and soccer as well.

In college, I was a walk on for the university of Hawaii for both the football and basketball programs. I was a scout team member on the UH football team as well as the UH basketball team. I never made it on field or on the court officially, However, I was fully integrated with the team, training schedule, and do you want college sports program.

Currently, I am an active immature, kickboxer, and MMA fighter, Looking tc go pro in the next 2 to 3 years. I still constantly and Continuously train myself as well as train others to be the best they can be.

How I can help you improve your game:

Improving an athletes game is so much more than just jumping higher or running faster. What I’ve noticed is that most of the time it starts in the mental. Most of the time there is some sort of mental hurdle, block, or simply lack of education that is stopping the athlete from performing at their best.

I believe starting with the mental game is key and understanding your athletes, frustrations, natural talents, natural tendencies, and their daily life habits/routine. Once we have an understanding of where the athlete is mentally, then I am able to asses what skills are needed to focus Yes, phone oh yeah on.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical training session with one of my clients would start with an overview of the day. Checking in with them seeing how their last performance was or seeing specifically what they want to get better at that day.

From there an extensive warm-up and stretching session, Making sure that my athletes are properly hydrated, stretched and warmed up before the training begins.

Then we would begin a major training portion consisting of anything from running, lifting, bodyweight, calisthenics, general footwork/handwork drills and Finally specific position training.

Lastly, we would do a cool down exercise and cool down stretch, making sure we’re staying hydrated throughout the workout, And then a quick powwow about how we felt the training session went and what we would like to accomplish in our next session.

Career summary and accomplishments:

As for coaching, I’ve helped athletes train for multiple different sports my entire life. Even as an athlete myself, I was always the captain, and always the one helping other athletes get better alongside me. I have coached many years of youth football as well as basketball , and as of more recent times martial arts. As a teacher/professor for my day job, I am always in a position of instructing and teaching whether that’s on or off the field. I have coached tennis and soccer as well when needed, and also have clients that solely focus on athletic training and not specific sports. So whatever it is, you may need, if I can pro provide my expertise, I would do all I can to be the best coach as possible for my athletes.

Best coach I ever had:

I’ve had many amazing coaches throughout the years that all taught me valuable lessons. Even the coaches who weren’t on my side, gave me grief, or just plain out we’re bad coaches, they still taught me valuable lessons about what it takes to be an athlete.

The two best coaches I’ve had in my life would be my father, who is responsible from chaining me from five years old on and gave me the base to all sports and the key to success.

The other Coach that truly affected my life who wasn’t a family member, would be my Coach Alex Silva. He is a master of biomechanics, and training, athletes body to peak at the most Prime physical performance spot.

I’ve known him since I was 12 years old and I still work with him till this day nearly 20 years later. This really reiterates my concept that coaches aren’t just coaches of sports but the best coaches help you & coach or life as well. He showed me what it means to have a coach care about you for more than just your athletic abilities.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Athletes and parents to know that if I take someone on as a client, I truly care about their success on the field and off the field. A great athlete is not only physically great but mentally strong, enable to handle the stresses of life along with the stresses of being a performance athlete.

I’m here to be invested in the goal that you bring me. Anything I can do to help The athlete achieve what they’re looking for I will go above and beyond to do all I can. I am very friendly, loving, and caring person, and I’d like to think I bring that same energy into coaching.

That being said, to be a good coach, you have to be stern, direct, and OK with letting your athlete know they need to try harder or focus more. It is a balance of encouragement and strict, detailed discipline. So no, with me, you’ll get someone who is fully invested and all in!
