Athletic Background
Summary of Career and Accomplishments
I began playing soccer at 4 years old and slowly worked up to playing at the D2 college level where I currently play. I started playing club soccer in 2015 with Milan AC in Riverside, CA. In 2016, we won the Coast Soccer League Cup and in 2017, we won the Real Colorado Cup. In 2019, I went to Saint Mary's University of Minnesota where I was awarded ALL-MIAC Honorable Mention in my freshman year. In 2021, I transferred to Cal Poly Pomona in Southern California to continue developing my skills. In 2022, I tore my ACL and worked very hard through physical therapy to come back stronger than before. My senior year, I was a captain and helped lead the team to the CCAA Regular Season Championship. Now, I am pursuing a Master's degree at MSU Denver where I hope to continue growing both my soccer and leadership skiils.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach I ever had was my club coach, Josh Nash. He taught me the fundamentals of the game and the traits necessary to be not just a decent soccer player but also a good person. These include integrity, trustworthiness, work ethic, discipline, and courage.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I believe that soccer is just a game at the end of the day and what truly matters is doing the right things, seeking to get better every day, and building meaningful relationships. I think people should apply these values in all that they pursue, not just sports. While I want to win and help others succeed, I treat my players as people first and will always prioritize their health before their athletic gains. 1 Timothy 4:7-8
Coaching Background
Summary of Coaching Background
I have coached girls HS soccer for the past 3 years and I am looking forward to gaining more experience through individual sessions.
How can you help someone improve their game?
I will coach the proper techniques to improve a player's touch. I also make it a point to explain the drills and techniques in a way that ensures the player understands why they are doing what they are doing. This creates good habits and helps them know how what we do applies to certain game situations which also develops their soccer IQ.
What does a typical training session look like?
I like to focus on a specific theme every training session. We will begin each session with a fundamental skill drill. We will build on those skills while incorporating increasingly more difficult concepts throughout the session. We'll usually end with a fun finishing or accuracy drill.
