I'm excited to offer a unique basketball training program built on a foundation of personal success and professional experience. My journey began in Chicago's elite youth basketball scene, progressed through playing at a Division 1 Ivy League school, and culminated in player development roles with the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers and Chicago Bulls. This path has equipped me with a deep understanding of the game, from advanced techniques to the mental resilience needed at the highest levels. Training with me means access to a holistic approach that emphasizes skill enhancement, basketball IQ, and physical conditioning, all tailored to your athlete's needs. I leverage my extensive background to create a personalized, impactful experience that focuses on turning potential into excellence, both on and off the court. Let's work together to elevate your athlete's game to the professional level, instilling the habits and mindset of a champion.

Drawing from my NBA player development experience, I'll enhance the your skills through personalized drills focusing on shooting, ball-handling, passing, and defense. I'll elevate your basketball IQ with strategic insights, game analysis, and situational training. Physical conditioning will be paramount, with tailored workouts to boost speed, strength, and endurance. Mental toughness techniques, honed from high-pressure moments, will be imparted to build resilience and focus. Through game simulations and scenarios, you'll apply skills in competitive settings. We'll set clear goals and track progress closely, adjusting training as needed. Beyond the court, I'll emphasize life skills like teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership. This comprehensive approach aims not only to elevate your game but also to shape you into well-rounded individual primed for success both in basketball and life.
Training sessions will vary depending on the individual, but in general I have followed this framework:
1. Focused Shooting (BEEF)
2. Ball handling
3. Warm up drill (i.e. full court layups and pull ups)
4. Shooting drill (i.e. mid-range and 3pt)
5. Situational drill (i.e. pick & roll, spacing, transition, isolations, etc.)
6. Running
7. Mental shooting drill (i.e. 3 in a row from 5 spots)
8. Stretch
Spent one year with the 76ers as a Player Development associate. Responsibilities included participating in on-court workouts with players and playing live defense/offense, cutting up film for the coaches, and acting playing on the scout team. After one year, I was recruited by Marc Eversley to the Bulls to help grow their player development department. Had more responsibility and ownership over running workouts for players. Also participated in pick up games, practices, drills, and more with players. Helped build scouts with assistant coaches.
I've worked for some fantastic coaches (Mike Mullins, Steve Donahue, Billy Donovan, Mo Cheeks, Brett Brown, and more), but the best coach I've ever had was my dad. He was a former college/pro football player and taught me the importance of work ethic and grit. Developing talent is something that most can do, but developing grit is something that most cannot do. As you move up in your career, the talent pool levels out. What will differentiate you is your grit.
Athletes and parents should know that I am a fun, loving, and driven professional who will always put thought and care into my work. Hard work is extremely important, but having fun along the way is too. I'm a balance of serious and light-hearted. I want you to be the best you can be and will do everything that I can to make sure that happens.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.
