I can offer valuable insights based on my own experiences. * Specific Skills: As a player, I was an elite scorer. I can teach you how simple it is to average 25 points a game without much effort. It also depends on your role within your current team. If you are a point guard I'll teach you how to dish out 15 assists a game. And if your roll is to play down low and grab rebounds I'll show you how easy it is to get a double double every game. * I can provide mentorship and support, helping the you grow both as an athlete and as a person. About Me:

The East Coast Basketball League announced the addition of the Goldsboro Wings to the league's roster for the 2025 season. The team will be owned and coached by Jason Lampa who grew up playing basketball in Fort Green Section in Brooklyn NY. He then went on to play at Northwood Florida in college where surpassed the 3000 point mark, before playing in the USBL with the Long Island Surf and the Brooklyn Kings for a total of eight seasons in which he averaged 25.7 points per game during his professional career. Coach Lampa had also spent time on the coaching staff at Seton Hall University before moving to the insurance and financial securities industry for the last 15 years where he has represented firms such as Citigroup, Invesco, and New Life Investment Managemen

How I can help you improve your game:

My first priority is to understand the player's specific goals. Understanding the player's specific goals (e.g., improving shooting, ball handling, defense) helps tailor the workout schedule accordingly.

The second step in the process is increasing the players agility so they can use their left foot just as well as their right foot and vice versa. So many coaches focus on players using both hands when truly it's More important to be as quick with your left foot as you are with your right foot and vice versa.

The third step in the process is teaching the player where on the floor do they have the best opportunity to score Each player should have at least two locations in which they know if they can get to they can make seven out of 10 shots from that spot. It is one of the most important things in basketball that so few coaches work on with their players.

Whether you're a guard or a forward the fourth step in the process is becoming an excellent post player because their will be many times during games where you'll have opponents smaller than you in which you can get them into the post and score at will.

The final step in the process is developing the mindset of a winning basketball player. In other words I teach athletes to put themselves into a state in which they can turn on and play their very best. I believe in prior years it was called being in the zone. I teach players to compete against themselves and evaluate themselves on how they are as a player from one day to the next and then we begin working on the certain body movements posture and mental framework to become a top basketball player. Remember basketball is about 90% mental 10% skill.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

In each session with me a player can expect to get in between 250 and 300 shots. Second they can expect that will be working 15 to 20 minutes on agility and foot quickness. Third the player can expect that will work on conditioning in which I was trained at both the college and professional level that will put them in the best shape of their life. In closing out our session the player can expect that we work on developing both hands in shooting with dribbling and with passing. To be a top player at the high school level and then move on to college and be a good player or great player a young athlete needs to develop both hands where they can use either one at any time without any thought.

Career summary and accomplishments:

I began my coaching career as a varsity boys basketball coach for two seasons and which I accumulated a record of 36 and 9. At the same time I was an assistant coach for Seton Hall University which plays in the former Big East conference. I spent two years coaching semi-pro basketball for the Jersey Express in Paterson New Jersey making the playoffs both seasons. And now I'm the head coach of a professional basketball team, the Goldsboro Wings.

My dad because he shared his love for the game with me at an early age. I got a great start and the opportunity to become an excellent basketball player.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I am definitely not a fit for every young athlete. If you're child has ambitions of playing college basketball or beyond I would recommend that you contact me immediately. Basketball is 90% mindset and 10% skill (in most cases. The young men and women whom I have trained see an exponential increase in their basketball IQ, which results in a dramatic increase in their basketball skills and confidence. Currently, I am the head coach of the Goldsboro Wings, which which competes in the east coast basketball league one of the three professional leagues in the United States. In addition to our private lessons I also provide for the offseason a full physical conditioning program. This program will make certain that your young athlete is by far the best conditioned basketball player on their team.

Because I'm able to make players see the game in such simplicity they're enjoyment and love for the game will grow.

I'm extremely demanding when it comes to their performance because I care about the children that I train.

To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
