Athletic Background

Summary of Career and Accomplishments
I've played several sports growing up but mainly competed in golf and volleyball. For high school I competed on my varsity team for both golf and volleyball achieving all conference team my senior year for golf. I continued to compete collegiately on the University of Nebraska Club Golf and Volleyball team, becoming the Vice President for the latter my senior year. Recently I've taken up mountaineering and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in September of 2024, the tallest mountain in Africa.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
During my junior year of club volleyball in high school, Coach JR showed how quality coaches can have a positive impact on people for the rest of their lives. Coach JR trained and worked us much harder than the other coaches in the club, but this was because he cared and always wanted to get the most out of us. He always spent extra time with us to develop team chemistry and helped us turn from teenagers to young men. He always had the perfect balance of giving praise and constructive criticism. I'm grateful for him as a coach and I wouldn't have gotten to where I was today as a coach if I didn't have the opportunity to grow under him.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I am a results oriented coach who has worked with many different levels of athletes across several sports, every individual and their body is unique and needs that specific attention to detail when it comes to their training. I have a detailed long term plan for every client I work with, regardless if it's a general population client looking to get into fitness or if it's a professional baseball player looking to improve their pitching velocity. Regardless of what your unique goals are, I'd love to help you achieve them.

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
Although I'm only 25 years old I have an extensive coaching background working with 200+ professional athletes across multiple sports. I started back in 2020 where I spent 2 years as a collegiate prep volleyball coach for Volleyball Club Nebraska who's had several athletes play for division 1 schools. After that I moved down to Florida and interned with Cressey Sports Performance in the fall of 2022, coaching baseball players from all different levels, whether that be a local high school baseball player or a professional baseball player from Japan. In the spring of 2023 I interned with XPE Sport's NFL Draft Combine Program which trained the two fastest 40 yard dash times of that year's combine. After that I was hired by Barwis Methods where I helped train their NHL offseason and also worked within their neurological re-engineering program, using strength and conditioning principles to help individuals with spinal cord injuries, strokes, cerebral palsy to help treat their respective conditions. In October 2024 I established my own training LLC where I help individuals of all different backgrounds reach their athletic goals. I also work seasonally for XPE Sports with their NFL Draft Combine program, who has put out 9 of the fastest 13 40 yard dash times in NFL Draft Combine history.
How can you help someone improve their game?
When working with clients I usually start off with either an evaluation or an in-depth conversation with the athlete (and parents too) to understand their goals, where they're at currently, and where they need to improve in order to excel at their sport. After this I'll write a detailed program that's tailored to the individual and their needs. My main philosophy with my training is to maximize performance while minimizing pain and injury. Using cutting edge training methodologies I've helped numerous clients improve performance and stay healthy in and out of competition.
What does a typical training session look like?
This highly depends on the athlete and what season they're in (in-season, off-season, etc.) but a typical session would begin with a dynamic warm-up and then positional drills/corrective exercises to "get them in the right positions" before their training session. After this I usually implement compound strength/power movements alongside plyometric training. A lot of the following exercises would depend on what season the athlete is in and what specific sport they play as each sport has their own set of unique demands that are placed on the body.
