About Me:

I am a performance coach with a master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver, a background as a U.S. Navy leader, and experience working with youth and high school athletes across multiple sports. My coaching style combines skill development, mental performance, confidence building, and character development. I believe sport is one of the best ways to help athletes learn discipline, resilience, leadership, and self-belief. Every session is designed to meet the athlete where they are, challenge them appropriately, and help them leave with something practical they can apply in practice, games, and life. I have worked with athletes in basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, and strength/performance settings. My approach is positive, detailed, and growth-centered. I want athletes to improve their game, but I also want them to understand how to handle pressure, respond to mistakes, communicate better, and trust their preparation.

I help athletes improve their game by developing skills, confidence, focus, and composure under pressure. My sessions combine fundamentals, movement, conditioning, and mental performance tools so athletes can grow physically and mentally. The goal is to help each athlete become more disciplined, confident, coachable, and prepared for competition.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

My sessions are structured around fundamentals, confidence, effort, and mental performance. Depending on the athlete’s goals, we may work on skill development, movement quality, conditioning, decision-making, communication, focus, pre-performance routines, and confidence under pressure.

I coach with patience, energy, and accountability. I want athletes to feel supported, but I also want them to learn how to push themselves, take feedback, and build habits that carry over into competition.

Career summary and accomplishments:

My background includes a master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, experience in a Division I football program, 8 years of U.S. Navy leadership, and service as a former Navy recruiter and Special Warfare Coordinator. I am also an ISSA Certified Master Trainer and Nutritionist, with experience supporting youth and high school athletes across multiple sports.

The best coach I ever had helped me build belief in myself. Through that process, I started to develop the confidence to perform the way I had always imagined I could. He showed me that sometimes the biggest obstacle is not talent, but the way we see ourselves. That experience shaped how I coach today: I want to help athletes build confidence, trust their preparation, and realize they are capable of more than they think.

Athletes and parents should know that my coaching is built around a system. Improvement is not just about working hard one day — it is about building habits that can be maintained over time, and parents play an important role in supporting that process. I want athletes to understand the “why” behind what they are doing, not just go through drills. Every session is designed to build belief, sharpen fundamentals, improve responses to mistakes, and create routines athletes can carry into practice, games, and life.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
