Why Train With Me?

Hey! Coach Jess here! I have been playing lacrosse for a very long time! I was able to start the program (which is now a 3x state champion program) at my former high school that I attended, where I played as a midfielder. Since then played collegiate ball, as a goalie and even became an all conference player! I have love and passion for this sport, and a pretty high knowledge for every position on the field. My goal is to help train your athlete to build love for the sport, along side having confidence in being successful!

Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach that I ever had was Coach Webb. He believed in me, when I couldn’t even believe in myself and always pushed me outside of my comfort zone to make me an amazing player. Everything that has gotten me to where I am at with lacrosse is because of him.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I am all about having fun, but I also expect hard work and dedication in the process. My job is to help you become a better lacrosse player and I expect myself to be able to follow through with that promise.

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
I have done a variety of coaching. From private sessions, club teams, and high school programs, I’ve had my fair share of work. I love being involved in the world of lacrosse and have trained a number of athletes that were able to make it into the collegiate world. I have helped coach a 3x state champion program in Utah, along with plenty of private work that has helped those girls compete in college level athletics. Always looking into new ways to improve myself as a coach, along with techniques that can make my athletes successful.
How can you help someone improve their game?
I like to start from the ground up. I like to see where my athletes strengths and weakness are and try to build from there. Usually during the first session I will give them a run down on goals that they are wanting to accomplish, and try to build the practice plans based on those goals.
What does a typical training session look like?
The very start and end of practice is all about focusing in on their goals. This will help set the tone for them and help motivate them to work hard. We then will get right in to the process. Start with a 10 minute warm up/stick work. Then I run through a series of drills and training to help build them as players. Then we end practice will a nice stretch session along with things they did well, and things they would like to improve for next time.
