I have a strong passion for the game and helping the younger generations grow in their skill set and love for the game! I spent 6 years at the college level 4 years playing, 2 not playing (redshirt due to injury and covid year) and have a ton of tips and knowledge that I have learned from many great coaches and teammates along the way that I wish I would've known in grade school growing up. If your kids or any of their friends have a desire to continue working on their game, I'd love to be the one to help take their game to the next level! Thank you so much!

3 year varsity starter at Vista High School in North County San Diego. Scored over 1,000 career points during HS. Committed to Cal State University Dominguez Hills on a basketball scholarship and played there for 4 years before transferring this past year to attend Colorado State University Pueblo for my last year of eligibility and to work towards my MBA degree.
I can help my clients improve their games by giving them tips that I have learned in my college playing experience, such as how to read the defense, enhancing footwork, gaining consistency with their jumpshot, and body positioning on defense. However like my dad told me growing up, you can only become as good as you dream of being if you are willing to put in the work that others won't. Meaning I will do everything in my power to help my client improve but if they don't want it for themselves then the results will never show.
A typical training session starts with a dynamic warmup/stretch. Teaching young players that in order to have a long career you MUST take care of your body! After that, I like to get the athlete into footwork drills such as ladder drills, jump rope, etc. To follow that up, we would get into ball handling drills and those would be determined based off the skill of the client. Ball handling is one of the most important parts of the game to me because it allows you to be able to create for yourself and others. Once we are through with all that which takes about 30 minutes, we would get into the shooting portion of the workout. Starting off with form shots around the hoop. After that, the shooting drills that I do will be based off the ability of the client for that workout. If it is a more skilled high school player, we would do a lot of shooting off of imaginary down screens and ball screens. However if it was a middle school player still learning the game, we would work more on stationary shooting from the mid range and dribble pull ups from the mid range and work from there.
I don't have a plethora of coaching experience, I have worked a few kids skills camps over the last few summers in San Diego along with coaching my little cousins peewee basketball team at the YMCA.
This is a very tough choice for me because I have had many great and impactful coaches throughout my playing career. I'd have to say coach John Williams who was my high school JV coach my freshman year. I choose him because he became my coach when I was 14, a very influential age and he taught me more than anything how to respect the game and opponents along with the fundamentals/skills on how to be an elite defender. After playing for coach Williams for one season defense became the best part of my game, and was a huge part of why I was able to get a full scholarship straight out of high school.
That I am obsessed with the game of basketball!! I want to spend my life around this beautiful game and give back to the upcoming generations, just like my dad and all of my coaches did for me. Parents should know that I will bring high energy, enthusiasm, and patience to each client I come into contact with.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
