I’m Forest Miller, a Speed and Strength Coach based in Tampa, Florida, dedicated to helping athletes develop real speed, strength, and long-term durability through science-backed, movement-first training. My background combines Division I sports performance, yoga-based mobility, and elite mentorship under renowned speed coach Sherman Armstrong at VAST Sports Performance. I currently coach national champions and All-Americans at the VAST Track Club, work with Sickles High School Men’s Basketball, and train alongside top professional athletes at Optimal Athlete Kollective. These experiences allow me to work across youth, elite high school, collegiate, and professional levels while constantly refining my approach to human performance. What sets me apart is my philosophy. I train athletes using three core principles: Expose the body to smart, progressive stimuli to build resilience and reduce injury risk. Let flexibility and mobility drive performance, prioritizing seamless joint movement before maximal load. Meet each athlete where they are, designing programs for their unique body type, movement patterns, and compensations. By blending therapy, yoga, and performance science, I help athletes move better, perform faster, and stay healthier for longer—building the foundation for sustained success in sport and life.

I grew up in North Carolina near the Capital, Raleigh. I was a rower in high school for Triangle Rowing Club where I learned how to push myself mentally rather than just physically. I medaled at the largest regatta in the south and had numerous golds across regattas. I went to college at UNC Wilmington for Exercise Science and a minor in Yoga Studies. I received grade point honors and founded the Helping Hand Project, where we 3D Printed prosthetics for free to give to the local community. Aside from that I worked in our sports performance facility and multiple therapy settings. Since college I've moved to Tampa with my girlfriend and our friend and I've worked professionally with high level athletes since.
I can increase your ability to use your body effectively. Most trainers will try to teach you how to run fast or try and make you stronger without teaching you to first utilize your body in the most effective way. Through mobility, mind muscle connection, and focused training I can make you not only faster, but move better as well.
We start with an extensive full body warm up built to actively stretch you out rather than just passive stretching, which doesn't activate your body enough. Then we move in to technique training, where I teach you how to most optimally move your body and sprint. From there we apply what we have practiced and I push you to get better depending on what you need. Then we finish out with passive stretching, with intense movements to really push your flexibility farther.

Coach Gillian my JV rowing coach. She knew how to motivate us and push us while also creating lasting meaningful relationships. We were not very good looking back yet she some how got the best out of us and we were one of the most dominant teams in the south.
I love helping athletes succeed, I love seeing the look in their face when they've got better, and I live to see their accomplishments. Not only that but I try to build real relationships, and not just transactional ones. The best way to motivate someone is to share their vision of success.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you find yourself needing to cancel or adjust your booking within 24 hours of your purchase, just let us know. We'll provide a refund - no questions asked. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we're here to support your learning journey.
