Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach I ever had was my high school bowling coach, Chris Vital. Coach Vital had an incredible ability to bring out the best in me as an athlete. He understood that every athlete is different and took the time to tailor his approach to each of us, recognizing our unique strengths and needs. His dedication and support inspired me not only to push myself harder but also to want to bring out the best in my own clients. His example taught me the value of adapting to each person’s individuality, a lesson I carry with me in my work today.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
Athletes and parents should know that my goal isn’t to change an athlete's unique characteristics but to help them refine and succeed with those strengths. I focus on honing what makes each athlete distinct, knowing that their individuality is key to their growth. As a coach, I’m patient and committed, fully understanding that reaching goals takes time, hard work, and dedication. I’m here to support them through the learning curves, helping them push forward and reach their full potential.
Coaching Background
Summary of Coaching Background
My coaching background spans various sports and age groups. I’ve run training camps for kids, assisted a college baseball coach, and am currently a swing coach providing golf lessons at Woods & Irons in Hershey, PA. Additionally, I have hands-on experience in personal training from my time at Dover Gym in Delaware. This diverse background allows me to bring a well-rounded approach to coaching, drawing on experiences from multiple sports and training environments to best support each athlete’s growth.
How can you help someone improve their game?
I can help someone improve their game by identifying and building on their unique strengths while addressing specific areas for growth. My approach is personalized, recognizing that every athlete has distinct needs. Through targeted training, focused skill refinement, and consistent encouragement, I guide them to become more confident and capable in their sport. I prioritize patience and adaptability, understanding that improvement takes time, hard work, and commitment. By creating a supportive environment, I help athletes hone their skills, boost their mental game, and ultimately achieve their goals.
What does a typical training session look like?
A typical training session with me starts with a quick check-in to set goals for the day and warm up both mentally and physically. We then dive into focused drills tailored to the athlete’s specific needs—whether that’s refining techniques, enhancing strength and flexibility, or addressing any challenges they’ve been facing. I give consistent, constructive feedback throughout, encouraging adjustments while keeping things positive and supportive. Toward the end, we review progress and work on mental focus, reinforcing key takeaways and setting small goals for the next session. Each session is customized to ensure steady improvement and sustained motivation.
