About Me:

I started playing soccer at 13 years old with the Clifton Olympics in Clifton, New Jersey. My passion for the sport deepened as I progressed through high school and college soccer. I played at Clifton High School and, during my senior year, earned a spot on the varsity team. Following high school, I attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), where I continued to excel, scoring crucial goals, including a memorable double-overtime winner against VMI. My journey in soccer has not only been as a player but also as a coach, leading the SLAM Tampa High School soccer program and competing against top high school teams.

I began my soccer career in my early teens and quickly moved up the ranks due to my dedication and love for the game. Throughout my high school and college years, I demonstrated significant growth and skill improvement, highlighted by starting on the varsity team and scoring decisive goals for NJIT. Post-college, I took on a coaching role, where I have had the opportunity to shape young talents at SLAM Tampa High School, steering the program to compete against some of the best teams in the region.

Technical Precision: I focus intensely on the form and mechanics of each skill. Through targeted drills, I work with players to tweak and perfect their techniques, from the way they strike the ball to their control and passing accuracy. These form drills are crucial for building a solid foundation that allows for advanced skill development.

Tactical Awareness and Decision-Making: Understanding the game deeply is vital. I use a variety of tactical exercises that challenge players to think and react quickly, making smart decisions under pressure. We simulate real-game scenarios that require tactical intelligence, helping players to see the field better and anticipate play.

Drill: Pair players to work on passing while moving through agility ladders or around cones. This helps in developing precision in passing under physical pressure and improves footwork.

Objective: Enhance cardiovascular fitness, coordination, and the ability to maintain accurate passes while under physical stress.

Shooting with Power and Precision:

Drill: Practice shooting from various distances after a sprint to a designated spot. Use resistance bands for leg strength training prior to shooting drills.

Objective: Build leg muscle strength and endurance, ensuring players can shoot powerfully and accurately even when fatigued.

Dribbling Dynamics:

Drill: Set up a course with cones or poles where players must dribble at speed, including changes in direction. Integrate high knees or quick foot taps between each cone to improve agility and control under speed.

Objective: Increase agility and ball control with a focus on maintaining close ball touch during rapid movements and direction changes.

Centering and Crossing:

Drill: Players run down the wing with the ball at pace, perform a skill move at the end line, and then cross into the box. Incorporate hurdles or speed parachutes in the run-up to enhance explosive speed.

The best coach I ever had was Coach Frank, who currently oversees five soccer clubs in New Jersey. Coach Frank’s mentorship was particularly impactful as he helped me and my family, who were relatively new to the U.S., to navigate the complexities of sports and educational opportunities in a new country.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
