Why Train With Me?

You should train with me because I will bring energy during and after our sessions. I always check on my clients to make sure they are progressing on and off the field. When I say off the field, I mean mentally. I am very big on the mental aspect of the game. Baseball is a mental game and being able to help my client become mentally stronger as well as physically to be ready for the game and the world. That’s how some of the best coaches I’ve ever had have made me who I am today.

Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach I ever had was Brian Kaplan. He was the best coach because he was my first ever coach to help me become the person who I am today. I still talk to him to this day and consistently keep in contact and see him as much as possible. We always check up on each other and that is a type of coach I’ve always wanted to someone who is not only my coach, but I someone I can look up to and that’s who he was.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
What athletes and parents should know about me is I’m an open book I am willing to do anything to help your athlete become the best version of him/her self on and off the field. When we are in the cage or on the field, we will work harder than the session before to push them to want to get better

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
I currently coach that i9 sports which has been awesome being able to teach kids baseball and all type of sports from three years old to 11 years old. I’ve been doing that for around a year and it’s been nothing short of awesome. I was also a hitting coach/athletic trainer at Hawaiian Hardball in Honolulu, Hawaii. That was a blast being able to bring and teach my strengths that I learned while playing college to athletes who want to go to college and become starters and make a difference on the team.
How can you help someone improve their game?
I can help an athlete improve their game by fixing the small kinks that can change a swing from being an average swing to an elite swing. On the defensive side, playing outfield, I can help the athlete be the best defender on the team. And on the mental aspect, I can help the athlete become stronger mentally which will lead to success in every other aspect
What does a typical training session look like?
A typical training session starts with me asking how the athletes swing is or how has their swing felt in the past. And then from there we will go off the tee to get loose and do a couple drills to help with what he/she told me needs to get worked on. Then from there, I will start doing some front tossed, so he/she can see a moving target. Then, depending on the age group, I will throw some over hand toss to them. During at overhand tosses where I will let them swing more freely and loosely to see the improvements made from the session. On the defensive side, if the athlete is an outfielder, different days call for different drills. One day will work on throwing to the base or just working on the mechanics of throwing and then the next day we will work on foot work that will help us get to and track down the ball.
