I’ve had an exciting journey in swimming, starting at Flamengo Swimming Club in Brazil, where I had the chance to compete in big events like the International South America Championships and the School World Championship. During my time at Emmanuel University, I focused on mid-distance and distance freestyle, earning achievements like Conference Carolinas Champion (2022, 2023), Freshman of the Year (2022), and holding six school records.
I can help someone improve their game by combining persistence and fun. I believe that consistent effort, small daily improvements, and staying committed to the process are key. I’ll break things down into manageable steps, offer clear guidance, and encourage swimmers to keep pushing through even when it gets tough. At the same time, I bring a fun, supportive energy—keeping lessons engaging, celebrating progress no matter how small, and making sure they enjoy the journey. With persistence, patience, and a positive mindset, I’ll help them stay motivated, build confidence, and ultimately achieve lasting improvements in their swimming.
A typical training session with me starts with a 5-10 minute warm-up, where I get a feel for each swimmer’s current level and identify both their strengths and areas to improve. I’ll also ask about their main goals—whether they’re learning to swim, refining technique, building endurance, or focusing on specific strokes. Then we jump into drills that target technique, using personalized gear to address any weaknesses and build confidence. I’ll mix in some fast sets to challenge speed. For younger swimmers, I keep things fun with games, while older swimmers enjoy friendly challenges or competitive sets to keep practice exciting. Throughout the session, I focus on progress—both technical and physical—while creating a fun, supportive, and motivating environment that helps swimmers feel empowered and excited about their improvements.
I have over 2 years of coaching experience, working with swimmers of all ages—from kids to young adults. In the summer of 2023 and 2024, I served as the head coach at Woody Creek Swim Team, leading practices, designing training plans, and mentoring swimmers to achieve their goals. In the spring of 2024, I worked as an assistant coach at Emmanuel University, where I supported both the men’s and women’s swim teams in refining their technique and preparing for competition. Additionally, I’ve served as the strength and conditioning coach at Emmanuel University, helping athletes improve their overall performance through targeted dryland training and fitness plans. Over the past year, I’ve also provided private swim and gym lessons, working one-on-one with swimmers and fitness enthusiasts to build confidence, refine technique, and achieve their individual goals.
The best coach I’ve ever had is my college coach, who taught me that sports aren’t just about individual achievements, but about coming together as a team, supporting one another, and celebrating each other’s accomplishments. He instilled in me the importance of lifting each other up, fostering a positive and inclusive environment, and finding joy in the success of the entire team. His warm, encouraging approach made me feel valued not just as an athlete, but as part of something greater—a family working toward a shared goal. Through his guidance, I learned the true meaning of teamwork, and that’s a lesson I’ll carry with me in and out of the pool.
Athletes and parents should know that I bring over 3 years of lifeguarding experience, which has given me a strong focus on safety and ensuring a secure environment for everyone in the pool. Additionally, I have over 2 years of coaching experience, working with kids, young adults, and swimmers of all ages to help them improve their technique, build confidence, and reach their goals. My approach is fun, supportive, and focused on creating a positive atmosphere where athletes can thrive both in and out of the water.
Oh, and one more thing—I’m originally from Brazil, so yes, my English might have a bit of an accent, but I speak clearly and with a good level. I bring warmth, enthusiasm, and a little bit of international flair to everything I do, and I’m excited to be part of your team!

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
