Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
My most recent coach, DJ. He emphasized enjoyment of the sport, took the pressure off, and helped me perform my lifetime best. He prioritized my health and thought of unique techniques to approach my needs. He was also very supportive of my life outside of athletics. Coach DJ's favourite quote is: "Sleep with your dreams or wake up and chase them."
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I focus on building a solid foundation of form and technique to help execute optimal performance and reduce injury risk. My education in exercise physiology combined with my many years of track and field experience makes me better able to understand and address athlete's biomechanics. My goal is for my athletes to enjoy the journey and to foster discipline, a principle key to achieving success!

Summary of Coaching Background
Four years of training various age groups including older adult and teenage populations.
How can you help someone improve their game?
Success is driven by setting a good foundation. I do this by teaching athletes the proper technique and by providing them with the exercises necessary for strengthening good athletic posture. I also listen to and assess each athlete individually and make programs based on their unique needs.
What does a typical training session look like?
Warm-up with drills focused on strengthening and correcting form. This is followed by a workout structured based on the individual's needs. Cool down with extensive stretching and rehab (as necessary) completes the session. I also encourage reflection and journalism as a mode of monitoring progress, but it is absolutely not a must!
