Athletic Background
Summary of Career and Accomplishments
I've had the privilege of playing every position on the court throughout my unforgettable career. In grammar school, I was a point guard, leading our team to a championship. In high school, I played power forward and center. In college, I was a small forward, and in semi-pro, I played both point guard and shooting guard. I was versatile, quick, had a mean first step, could jump through the roof, and had a very high basketball IQ. These attributes have proven invaluable in my role as a basketball coach and trainer.

Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
Coach Carney and Coach Krause were the best coaches I ever had. They really took me under their wing when I was in the 7th and 8th grade at St Anthony's in Yonkers. We even won the title in the 8th grade together! Best Coaches Ever!
What should athletes and parents know about you?
Basketball is more than just a passion, hobby, or job. It's a way of life that teaches countless life lessons through the sport. My priority is helping athletes reach the next level, whatever that might be for them. For me, it's all about them and the sport we love.

How can you help someone improve their game?
First, we start with a conversation, asking our athlete what they feel they need to improve, why they believe it's important, and most importantly, why they want to improve at all. Helping our athletes find their "why" is the key to ensuring they commit to and stick with their training.
What does a typical training session look like?
A typical session with me starts with a check-in to see how our athlete's day has been. If they're dealing with anything pressing, we address it right away. I ask about their sleep the night before and their nutrition for the day. This helps me gauge their mental and physical state.
As a former college and semi-pro player with 17 years of coaching experience, I understand that some days you feel like you can run 10 miles and lift the entire gym, while other days, even jumping over a piece of paper feels impossible. I get it. That's why it's crucial for me to meet our athletes where they are and provide the right motivation to help them get through the session.
