School Teacher/Coach Former Physical Education teacher (elementary, middle school and high school). I have taught and coached youths from ages 6 - 19. High School Track & Field Head Coach (All Events) I was also a head High School Track & Field Coach from 1992 - 2000. (Ft. Campbell, Ky. 3 State Championship teams in the state of Ky. 1995-1996-2000. Class AA High School Coach of the year in those same years. I have coached 2 All American track athletes that still hold state records in the state of Kentucky. I have coached many all-state track athletes. I specialize in developing hurdlers and have coached 11 state champions in 110 Highs and 300 lows. I have attended national track clinics hosted by Olympian athletes and Olympic coaches. Football (Assistant Coach FT. CAMPBELL HS 1985-2000) Assistant coach under Marshall Patterson(Ky Hall of Fame Coach) Coached Defensive Backs and Offensive Running Backs, Wide Receivers and Special Teams. Teams were ranked in top 10 in state of Kentucky many years during the time I coached there. Football Player I played at Ft. Campbell HS in mid 70's. Earned All-State Honorable Mention and received Scholarship to Western Ky. University. Played Wide Receiver, Defensive Back, and Kick Returner. Still in kick return record books at WKU. Football Head Coach Head Coach Pontiac Northern High in Michigan. 2000-2003 Had winning record an teams qualified for state playoffs 2 out of 3 years there. Coached 3 All Star Players Head Coach West Bloomfield HS. (Michigan) 2006-2009 Had winning record and qualified for playoffs 2 out of 3 years there. Coached 4 All-State and All Star players. One player was a starter with the Ravens, then with the NE Patriots and was just traded in 2024 to the Atlanta Falcons and is considered one of the best Edge Rushers in the league. Can coach all Skills positions for defense and offense. Previous 200 Hour certified Yoga Instructor. I have taught Yoga Classes for students at Oakland University in Michigan for their recreation department. 2005-2006 - Certification needs to be refreshed but I still can teach students the basics poses and explain the benefits of the practice. I am still healthy and physically fit. I have been working in the financial industry the past several years. I miss working with youth. I am older now but I can still physically demonstrate skills and techniques at a very high level. I have the experience and ability to work with a wide age range of children and youth. I can show them what it takes to be successful. I have always used mental training to go along with physical and skills training when working with youth. About Me:

I am a retired elementary school and high school physical education teacher. I have also coached high school football, track and field, and basketball at high levels successfully. I have coached 3 state championship high school track and field teams. I have also coached several D-I football players. One player is still in the NFL today and is a high profile player. Kentucky High School track coach of the year. (3 times)

How I can help you improve your game:

I feel that I can help any athlete improve their physicality as well as their skill level. I was an overachiever as a undersized athlete in my youth days, but was able to achieve success and honors as an high school and college athlete. I know what it takes to be successful in sports. I also can help a very wide range of athletes age wise as well as multi-sports skills. Can also work with male and female athletes.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

Warm up and stretching should be first to prevent injury and promote maximum muscle performance. I would go with a small amount of conditioning training in the form of running drills focusing on proper form. I would then get on with the skills related to the sport the athlete is training for. Depending on he sport we are training for I would conclude the physical practice with some plyometric drills and additional conditioning if appropriate. I would always end with a review of what we learned today with some positive mental training.

Little League Baseball and Softball coach - (5 Years) Assistant Football Coach (FT Campbell) 16 Years - Highly State Ranked Teams in 80's & 90's Head Track Coach - State Championship Track Teams (Ft. Campbell HS) 1995 -1996 - 2000 (Also State AA Coach of the Year those years) Head Football Coach - Pontiac Northern HS, Michigan - Teams made playoffs 2 of 3 years there - Coached 4 All State players there Head Football Coach - West Bloomfield HS (MI)- Teams made playoffs 2 of 3 years there. Coached 3 All-State players. (One is still currently a high profile player in NFL) Basketball Assistant Coach - Coach Freshman team and prepped them for Varsity play. Yoga Teacher - Taught Yoga class for college students - Oakland University (MI)

Best coach I ever had:

Marshall Patterson - (Ft. Campbell HS) He was my high school football coach and is in the Ky High School Football coaching Hall of Fame. I learned how to work hard to achieve your goals. I also learned how to combine physical training with mental training from coach Patterson. He also taught us how to apply sports training principles to living life successfully. I played football for him and after college I returned to be an assistant coach with him for 12 years.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I can work with younger athletes as young as 7 years old up to seniors in high school. I can apply my training principles and techniques to just about any sport your child wants to learn or improve in. I can help the potential athlete improve physically, mentally well and perfect or refine specific skills. (Pass catching, proper running technique, improving speed, increasing vertical, jumping ability, etc...) I can also help your child set reasonable goals and show them how to achieve them. I will also teach them the importance of being a good and respectable citizen. I will also introduce the athletes to non-traditional training such as Yoga and teach them how to apply it to their specific sport.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
