-Hi, I'm Jesus Gutierrez, a passionate and experienced coach dedicated to helping young athletes reach their full potential. As a former high school football player who made it to the quarterfinals, I know what it takes to succeed on the field. Additionally, I won a city championship in flag football, demonstrating my ability to lead teams to victory. With a background as a personal trainer, athletic trainer, and mixed martial arts trainer, I possess a unique combination of skills to provide top-notch coaching and guidance. My experience working with athletes of all ages and skill levels has taught me how to create engaging, challenging, and fun training environments. As a coach, my goal is to not only develop skilled football players but also to instill valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. My experience as an offensive and defensive lineman has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of strength, agility, and technique in dominating the line of scrimmage. As a defensive end, I developed a keen sense of timing and explosiveness, which I now pass on. Additionally, my short experience playing center has taught me the importance of snap precision, blocking technique, and reading defensive schemes. I understand the critical role that centers play in anchoring the offensive line and making split-second decisions that can make or break a play. With my understanding of the linebacker position, I've developed a strong understanding of defensive concepts, including gap responsibility, tackling technique, and coverage schemes. What a typical training session looks like with me:

Comprehensive Athletic Development Program

Our customized training program is designed to help young athletes improve their football skills, enhance their physical abilities, and develop a winning mindset. Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of your children.

-Session Structure-

1. Needs Assessment and Goal Setting: A collaborative discussion with the athlete, parent(s), or both to identify areas of improvement, set specific goals, and develop a personalized training plan.

2. Warm-up and Mobility Exercises: Each session begins with a dynamic warm-up, consisting of short stretches and mobility exercises to prepare the athlete's muscles for physical activity.

3. Technical Skill Development: The athlete participates in position-specific drills and exercises designed to address identified areas of improvement. Ongoing assessment and annotation of the athlete's performance enable targeted adjustments to the training plan.

4. Performance Enhancement: Based on the results of the technical skill development segment, a customized plan is created to optimize the athlete's performance. This may include exercises to improve strength, speed, agility, or endurance.

5. Conditioning and Mental Toughness Training: Towards the end of each session, I will incorporate conditioning exercises that challenge the athlete physically and mentally. This segment is designed to enhance the athlete's resilience, focus, stamina and overall performance under pressure.

6. Cool-down and Review: The session concludes with a cool-down period, featuring stretches or low-intensity exercises to aid in recovery. This is accompanied by a review of the session's key takeaways, discussion of progress, and goal-setting for future sessions.

Highlights of my coaching experience include: • Personal Trainer, Gym (2015-2016): Developed and implemented customized fitness plans for clients, helping them achieve their health and wellness goals. • Athletic Trainer and MMA Trainer, UFC Gym (2015-2017): Worked with athletes to improve their performance, endurance, and technique. Designed and led training sessions for MMA fighters and athletes. • Private Trainer (2015-Present): Provided one-on-one coaching and training in personal fitness and MMA, helping clients achieve their unique goals and objectives. Sometimes for no charge. With a strong foundation in fitness, athletics, and combat sports, I possess a unique ability to design and deliver effective training programs that cater to diverse needs and goals.

The most impactful coach I've ever had isn't a traditional one - it's the United States Marine Corps. My time serving in the Marines was a transformative experience that pushed me to my limits, tested my resolve, and ultimately helped me discover the best version of myself.

The Marine Corps taught me the value of discipline, perseverance, and hard work. It showed me that I'm capable of overcoming obstacles I never thought possible, and that my body and mind can adapt to even the most challenging situations.

Through the rigors of boot camp, combat training, and deployments, I was forged into a stronger, more resilient person. I learned to tap into a deep well of inner strength, to trust myself, and to never give up - no matter what.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
