Athletic Background

Summary of Career and Accomplishments
Idaho 5A High School player of the year/state as a senior (2011). Received a full ride athletic scholarship to play basketball at the University of Idaho. At the University of Idaho I currently hold many records in school history. To share a few, most 3-pointers made in school history as a true freshmen, most 3-pointers made in school history in a single season, most career 3-pointers made all-time in school history, highest 3 point percentage in a single season and career, top 5 all-time scorer in school history! Played professionally in Spain and the G-League with the Miami Heat! Now a full time basketball trainer and coach who strives to give back to the game of basketball that has given me everything!
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
My college player development coach at the University of Idaho (Milt Palacio) had the greatest influence on my game. Milt was a former NBA player who played with many NBA teams over his career and most noticeable was the point guard on the Boston Celtics with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. His experience, knowledge and passion for the game rubbed off on me and helped me greatly! My head coach at the University of Idaho (Don Verlin) believed in me and gave me a scholarship and for that I’m incredibly grateful!
What should athletes and parents know about you?
My passion and purpose is truly to make a positive impact on the youth and God has blessed me in giving me the opportunity to do that and be that positive mentor/coach/trainer through the game of basketball! 🙏🏼. My personal experience as a player, knowledge and passion for the game shines bright!

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
I have coached for many years! I’ve coached anywhere from elementary youth leagues, AAU travel teams, middle and high school teams to college coaching positions. Personal basketball trainer for over 10 years and counting!
How can you help someone improve their game?
I am very confident in my ability to help improve the basketball skills and development of any client I work with! I have worked with all ages (4-40 years old) and have the personal playing experience, basketball knowledge, credentials and unique passion for it! I strive to not only help and improve my clients basketball skills but also take the hard work, commitment, consistency, sacrifice and determination it takes to become a great athlete and translate those traits into our individual lives to become our highest and best self off the court as well!
What does a typical training session look like?
My sessions focus on skill development, basketball IQ and mindset. My sessions are 60 minutes and yes it would be 1 on 1 training most times (group training also available). Both individual and group training come with their huge benefits and I believe both are awesome ways to train! I don’t follow the same format for every client I train…I train each person differently depending on their strengths and weaknesses as I assess them in the first few sessions and then we go from there. I push my trainees and work them hard as hard work and commitment leads to improvement! I have helped and trained many athletes that have gone on and received full ride college basketball scholarships which is very fulfilling and rewarding for them along with myself! Let me know if you have any other questions for me as I’m always open to helping and answering.
