Get to know Coach Christopher

About Me:

I have spent the last 18 years dedicated to the art and science of baseball, coaching athletes ranging from 8-year-old beginners to professionals in the Major Leagues. My coaching is fueled by a passion for the game and a relentless attention to detail. I believe that baseball is the ultimate teacher of life lessons; through focus and a genuine willingness to push past perceived limits, players discover they are capable of accomplishing far more than they ever thought possible. My goal is to bring that energy to every single lesson, helping players grow not just as athletes, but as confident individuals ready to take on any challenge.

How I can help you improve your game:

I specialize in bridging the gap between raw talent and elite performance by focusing on the technical precision of hitting and fielding. By breaking down complex mechanics into actionable steps, I help players build a rock-solid foundation that holds up under the pressure of competition. Beyond the physical reps, I focus heavily on building the mental confidence necessary to succeed. Whether we are refining your swing path or perfecting your footwork in the field, my approach ensures that you walk off the field with a deeper understanding of your craft and the "mental edge" required to dominate your next game.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

Every session begins with a purposeful warm-up to get the body primed—focusing on rotational mobility for hitting or agility and glove-work for fielding. We start on the tee or with short-range drills, which allows me to diagnose the player's current "feel" and identify specific areas for adjustment. From there, we move into isolated drills designed to master a specific part of the swing or fielding mechanic. I am a big believer in the "why"—we talk through the purpose of every movement so the player understands the logic behind the skill. As we find a rhythm, I increase the distance and intensity, moving from isolation to live reinforcement to build unshakable confidence. We always move at the player’s specific speed of progress; I don’t move on until the foundation is solid.

Career summary and accomplishments:

For nearly two decades, I have been a fixture in the player development community, training athletes across the entire spectrum of the game. My career spans 18 years of elite instruction, where I have had the privilege of working with players as young as 8 years old all the way up to the Major League level. As a coach for Beaver Valley Baseball, and through my work at the Beaver County Sports Zone, I have helped thousands of athletes refine their mechanics and reach their goals. My greatest accomplishment isn't just the wins on the field, but the long list of former students who have moved on to successful high school, collegiate, and professional careers, fueled by the foundations we built together.

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I ever had was a man who truly coached for the pure love of the game. He didn’t have any children in the program; he was there simply because he wanted to help us get better. Despite being physically disabled, his limitations never hindered his passion or his ability to inspire us. He was a master of quiet leadership—he never had to raise his voice to get our attention. Because of the immense respect he showed us and the game, we found ourselves working our absolute hardest whenever he was on the field. He taught me that coaching isn't about being the loudest person in the dugout; it’s about the depth of your commitment and the respect you build with your players.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

What you should know about me is that I am deeply committed to the long-term growth of every athlete I work with. I bring a professional mindset to every lesson, rooted in 18 years of experience and a genuine desire to see your player succeed. I believe in a "player-first" progression, we move at the speed of their individual improvement, ensuring that every mechanic is fundamentally sound before we increase the challenge. Parents can expect clear communication and a coach who values character as much as a high exit velocity. To me, coaching is about building more than just a swing; it’s about building the confidence and work ethic that will serve these athletes for the rest of their lives.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
