Former Ole Miss distance runner coaching you to be YOUR BEST!

I am a former high school, collegiate athlete who is passionate about helping committed runners and high school coaches build smart, sustainable season plans so they can perform to the best of their of abilities. I was a high school coach prior to my journey in serving my country in the U.S. Navy...and I want to get back to the joy I had while coaching young athletes to be their best. I enjoy working with runners who are serious about getting better. A lot of runners bounce between random online plans, social media advice, and whatever their friends are doing—and then wonder why they’re stuck, injured, or exhausted. I step in as a coach to build a simple, evidence-based training plan that fits into your real life: school, work, family, and recovery. We focus on the key sessions that actually move the needle, clear pacing and effort guidelines, and honest communication about how they’re feeling. Whether you’re chasing a PR, a distance benchmark, or trying to finally feel confident on race day, my job is to remove the noise, give you a clear week-by-week plan, and make sure you’re progressing without burning out. I help all ages and levels of individual athletes build their programs from as young as elementary school to busy parents training for half and full marathons. If you are a coach in these areas, and need support, we can definitely partner together. I have experience in scaling large programs.

About Me:

Former D1 track and cross country runner for the Ole Miss Rebels! Two time state champion in high school as a an athlete. I was also the head coach for Oxford High School's track & cross country teams. I later went on to become a U.S. Naval officer.

How I can help you improve your game:

I have a background in building training programs based on the fantastic guidance I was given from my coach/mentor who was a distance runner from England. I learned many great things about training from him and his background in the British style of running. I learned a lot from my college coaches at Ole Miss and was surrounded by SEC Champions, NCAA National Champions and All Americans. From sprinters to middle & long distance runners, I watched how all of them trained and have been a student of running for many years. I will help you find an individualized plan that works for YOU !!!

What a typical training session looks like with me:

Warmup, Activity, Cooldown...from there, there's lots of variation and sustainable training plans built for every athlete. For Sprinters, I use a mix of drills, mechanic work, acceleration training, plyometrics, resistance and conditioning work. For Long Distance runners, I use a mixture of long slow distance (base building), hill repeats, fartlek runs, tempo runs, cruise intervals, long interval work, VO2 Max intervals, race pace reps, strides, fast intervals (sprints or accelerations).

Career summary and accomplishments:

I was a two time state champion in high school. Varsity runner on the Ole Miss Track and Cross Country Team. I won the Memphis Road Runners Race Series. Coached 4 team state championships. Coached numerous individual state champions. Selected as the Mississippi Cross Country Coach of the Year.

Best coach I ever had:

We did not have a cross country program at our high school...so me and my friend made one. We found a personal coach up in Memphis who was a national juniors 3k champion in England and he ran for Memphis State. He was the Metro Conference champion in cross country and the 10k. He checked in with us periodically, and we would go up to Memphis on the weekends to train with him. He gave great insights into distance running and was very positive, supportive. I use that philosophy when I coach my athletes. A kind and caring supportive approach is what I strive to be. Right behind that is my Ole Miss coach, Joe Walker. As a member of the team, I was teammates with numerous SEC and NCAA champions. I learned a lot by being around these exceptional athletes during our daily workouts. I was a student of the sport at a very young age. I have been taking training notes on how the other athletes trained for years, and I use that knowledge when I coach.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I'm here to listen and to help you be YOUR BEST. Whether you need speed work to help improve your performance in another sport or you want to run well in track/cross country, I am here for you. We will work together to achieve your goals and help you to be YOUR VERY BEST!

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
