My focus is on developing confident softball players through strong fundamentals, game awareness, and a positive coaching approach. My goal is to help softball athletes become confident, coachable, and fundamentally sound players. Through positive instruction, skill development, and individualized feedback, I help athletes improve their performance while learning to trust themselves and enjoy the game.

Hi, I'm Casey! I'm a coach, educator, and lifelong athlete who is passionate about helping young softball players build confidence, improve their skills, and develop a love for the game.
After working in education and studying Exercise Science, I understand that every athlete learns differently and benefits from individualized instruction. My coaching style focuses on strong fundamentals, positive encouragement, and helping athletes grow both on and off the field.
Whether your athlete is new to softball or looking to take their game to the next level, my goal is to create a supportive environment where they can learn, improve, and have fun.
My ultimate dream is to pass the love I have for the game on to the next generation and keep the passion alive
How I can help improve your game is I enjoy the mental side of the game just as much as the physical. Mental toughness and facing adversity is something I hold near to my heart as it is one of my favorite things I learned from playing in college.
A typical training session consists of assessment and goals first- how an athlete warms up is the first thing I assess. I am kind of old school, as I do believe there are lots of warm up drills from days past that still hold their value. We then talk about goals and what they are looking to accomplish - on the short term and long term. Sometimes I have them write it down and bring it to their lesson in the future.
As for the practice, the athlete will show me how they typically practice - whether they are a pitcher, a hitter, or a position player, and then we talk about their process, what they do during the game warmups, and their routines they fall into.
From there we kind of build our practice from those things... I don't typically have an actual "plan" for each practice, but I do have a baseline for what I would like each athlete to work on.
I have played softball since I was 11, and played competitive travel ball since I was 13, and played pitcher, first base, second base and some outfield. I pitched and played first and second base in high school earning a three year letter and helping out team take 3rd in State my senior year.
After graduation, I attended Otero Junior College, where our team competed in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament both years. I transferred to UNLV in Las Vegas after graduating from OJC, and had the honor of competing at the highest level of college ball, than transferred back closer to home and played for Metropolitan State University for my last year of eligibility.
After playing at Metro, I went back to Otero as the assistant and pitching coach for a year, where the team again seized the opportunity to attend the NJCAA National Tournament in 2009. I also have helped coach travel ball teams for several years giving pitching and performance assistance.
The best coach I ever had was Pete Kruse. I played for Pete on the Arvada Ice for three seasons of travel ball- 16 & 18U. He was kind, giving and understanding but he knew the game and was still firm with us teenage girls. He trusted us to do our job and we trusted him to do the same, and he was always there to make us all smile when times were tough.
This game is the greatest game on earth and I want to share my knowledge with everyone.

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
