About Me:

Hi, I’m Carlee, I’m an entrepreneur, ex athlete, certified personal trainer, nutrition coach. I’ve been living in South Florida for the last 10 years after graduating college in Boca Raton, FL. I played soccer for 20 years, was active my entire life & never had issues with eating until after graduating college & into my mid-late 20s. Now, I run my own Online Fitness & Nutrition Coaching Business, Top Shelf Fitness, LLC. Now, I work with women who struggle with finding themselves again after athletics, yo-yo dieting, rebuilding lean muscle & completely transform their view & value themselves.

I have a well rounded athlete/coaching background that stems from playing soccer my entire life, being raised by a personal trainer & building a career in fitness coaching.

I grew up playing soccer in Orlando, FL for Bishop Moore Catholic High School under Bobby Hurring. I also played for multiple different travel clubs from 2003 through 2010 prior to graduating. After graduating high school in 2010, I attended undergrad at Lynn University walking onto their Women’s Division II team for 2011-2013 under Chip Ducheck. During my time playing, we made it to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2011.

After Graduating in 2014, I wandered into the weird world of post athlete life & didn’t really know what to do with myself when it came to training, eating or my mindset. I spent a majority of my 20s bouncing all over the place with different workouts, quick fixes & relying on my old athlete ways to just take care of my body but I was rudely mistaken. As I worked in corporate sales for multiple years, I found myself going through the motions & having very little fulfillment with what I was doing with my career & my mindset/fitness levels dropping.

Fast forward to the start of 2020, I was stuck in a job I hated, under management that made me miserable, in a toxic relationship, and watching my mom fight stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. I hit rock bottom and knew I had to make a change. I knew I needed to get back to the areas of myself that were the strongest, which was old athlete Carlee. So, I quit my job, left the relationship, and hit the reset button my entire life. That was when I realized fitness and nutrition had always been part of me… My mom, a coach and trainer, had taught me the habits and mindset that I needed to dig back into. That’s when I knew I wanted to help other women & ex athletes find their way back & rebuild the best version of themselves through their original & new found strengths.

Fast forward to 2021, I lost my mom during my comeback, but her legacy drives everything I do. I launched Top Shelf Fitness, my very own online coaching platform to help more women transform their bodies, minds, and lives. Since then I have helped women dig back into their old athlete mindset, drop body fat, rebuild lean muscle & completely transform their view & value themselves.

My mission is not just to hand you a plan. It is to connect with you, guide you through the process, and help you discover what you are capable of through a flexible, sustainable approach. Together we will reset, rise, and reach goals you didn’t think were possible.

How I can help you improve your game:

I coach women 1:1 through a beneath the surface approach to nutrition. Each one of my clients gets a personalized fitness & nutrition game plan to follow that is catered to their goals, their lifestyle & their overall needs. My process focuses on 3 core coaching pillars:

Pillar 1: Discovery-Self Awareness

First thing we do is start with resetting your mindset & how you choose to take action daily/ weekly that have gotten you to where you are now. It’s about uncovering why & how you behave so we determine your baselines with eating habits & workouts.

Most women just guess with diets — we don’t guess, we measure based on where you are now so we can visually see & understand where your gaps are with your nutrition, fitness & lifestyle choices. From there we build a plan around the those specific gaps that we need to fill in that align with your fitness, physique & performance goals. This helps us clearly see are you, overeating, undereating, eating more fat than protein etc. Then, depending on their goals & their current eating, I determine their baseline starting nutrition numbers, calories & macros.

Next is training. Most women guess their way through workouts or use the random ones they find on Instagram without knowing even knowing if they are going to help them reach their goals. With your fitness baseline, we know exactly where we need to start so we can pave a path that helps you build & promotes towards the physical changes you are wanting to see & allows us to make progressional tweaks as you get stronger.

 

We pride ourselves on giving you the “most bang for your buck” meaning that we’ll tailor every workout to be intentional & effective, catering everything to your body, schedule and goals. Every workout is step-by-step. You’ll know exactly what to do, how to do it, and when to do it — so there’s no second-guessing, no wasted time, just results.

Pillar 2: Determination — Mindset & Identity

This is where we shift identity starts. Because without identity change, everything else becomes temporary.

With this goal which is like your North Star, it’s important to get clarity on it so when life gets stressful, you stay disciplined because you’re in alignment with who you’re wanting to become.

This is what most women miss in a coaching program. You’re not doing this alone. You’ll have:

You’ll become more disciplined with choices, your lifestyle & how you decide to take action on your main priorities. I’ve had women go from feeling completely lost with themselves to building themselves from the ground up with new count confidence, leading in their career & holding themselves to a whole new standard because they truly know their value.

Then throughout the program, we make adjusts based on reverse dieting, doing a cut, changes in training/goals activity, & stress levels.

Typical training sessions are offered a few different ways:

1. Virtual 1:1 60min Workout Session - live form correction/critique/feedback

2. Virtual 1:1 60min Mindset & Accountability Coaching - let’s game plan your weekly priorities, challenges & focuses with execution plan for you to implement immediately

3. Virtual 1:1 60min Nutrition/Meal Planning Session - we plan out your weekly eating routine around your schedule, workouts, travel etc. Guidance through custom calories/macro goals & meal planning.

All coaching sessions are 100% catered to each client’s personal goals & schedule

I have been professionally coaching for 5 yrs, I have experience in 1:1 personal training, 1:1 virtual coaching & group fitness classes. I launched my own 1:1 virtual coaching biz Top Shelf Fitness, LLC 4.5 years after leaving boutique corporate fitness in 2023. I wanted & needed to offer & coach more with real personalization to clients. I have my CPT from ISSA, & Level 1 Precision Nutrition. Right now, I help women dig back into their old athlete mindset, drop body fat, rebuild lean muscle & completely transform their view & value themselves

My high school soccer coach, Bobby Hurring was the best coach I have ever had, still to this day after graduating 16 years ago. He taught me every single one of my skills & that isn’t just playing soccer being physically fit & having skills. I was taught from the day I went to my first practice freshmen year that mindset is everything. Being mentally tough is even more important than any physical talent or skill anyone has. Pushing yourself & your teammates to keep firm accountability & grit were two things that were stressed daily for us. Showing up not only for yourself but for your teammates was always the standard. Knowing & wanting to always push to do better & fully out do yourself was the only way we were taught to achieve results. Performing mentally was what kept you intact, performing physically was just a bonus that helped us win.

I coach the same exact way that I was coached..game plan, execute & zero excuses. The coaching & programing I do is intensional, customized & is designed to deliver results. Full coaching with mindset, fitness training & nutrition is the most balanced way to transform & reach the results you are wanting. But that doesn’t mean that is what every client is aiming for which is why I stress so much on establishing goals, your main priorities & how much you are willing to invest in yourself & with a coach/teammate that is going to be with you every step of the way

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
