Mental Performance Training is an essential component of athlete development; it is not meant to be only something you search for when things are going wrong. It's intended to teach the tools necessary to reach peak performance, maintain confidence, regulate your nervous system, and cope with adversity prior to being in a crisis. I look to create environments where performance enhancement and human development coexists. My mission is to make Mental Performance Skills Training accessible for high school aged athletes, coaches, and teams to proactively build a strong foundation. After all, a $500 bat isn't going to fix a $3 mindset.

About Me:

My love for Sport Psychology was sparked when I hit my own roadblock during my college softball career. I was plagued by performance anxiety, crippling fear of failure, and self-handicapping and this ultimately led to the end of my softball career because I did not have the tools to cope with the demands college softball was throwing my way. Therefore, my Why is to proactively give athletes the tools they need to reach peak performance.

How I can help you improve your game:

Whatever obstacles you are facing: fluctuating confidence, low motivation, burnout, inability to set quality goals, performance under pressure, thought/emotion regulation etc. I am here to give you the tools and strategies needed to overcome them! On the flip-side, Mental Skills Training is for elite athletes and elite athletes-in-training. Just because you feel as though you have it all together, does not mean that at some point you won't need the tools that Mental Performance Training has to offer.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

Our first session always includes an initial Intake. This is a Q/A session where we learn more about each other, review confidentiality, perform any baseline assessments, introduce you to my coaching philosophy, & align our goals for future sessions.

Any session to follow that will follow a customized support program I create for your specific needs! For each skill I teach, we will move through my 4 Peak Pillars of Performance: Awareness, Understanding, Application, and Reflection. This enforces each skill and allows athletes to become fully immersed in their Mental Skills Training.

For each session you can expect any of the following: conversation about past and future performances, reflective practices, data collection/charting, worksheets, breathing exercises, hands-on activities, use of storytelling, recent sporting events, analogies to teach lessons, and between-session programming/homework.

Career summary and accomplishments:

I have worked in the Mental Performance Industry for 5 years, having worked primarily with youth and college athletes. I am proud to say that all of my clientele have been thanks to word-of-mouth referrals from past clients. This tells me that I've made an impact on these athletes and their families enough that they're willing to put their stamp of approval on my name.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I am here to collaborate with you! Not to simply tell you what to do and expect you to do it. If you don't respond well to journaling, we won't journal. If you think that your child has low confidence, but they report that their confidence is fine, I'm going to ask the right questions to get to the source. If you want strategies to help support your child, I'm here to give advice! I am a tool to support your athletes and that includes conversations with anybody in their immediate support system.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
