About Me:

I’m Bryan Perez, a former Low-A professional pitcher. Throughout my journey in baseball, I’ve always believed that when I commit to something, I commit to being the best. Right now, that focus is on coaching. My goal is to become the best teacher and trainer in the world, and I approach every athlete I work with as an opportunity to learn as much as I teach.

I’m fascinated by how pitchers develop, grow, and reach their potential. I enjoy figuring out what makes each athlete unique and helping them improve in a way that’s safe, efficient, and effective. Baseball has taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of continuous learning — lessons I bring to every day in the gym, on the mound, and in life.

You already have potential, and my goal is to help you amplify it. I’ll work with you to improve your velocity, command, consistency, and overall performance, all while keeping you healthy and confident on the mound. Together, we’ll develop the skills, habits, and mindset you need to compete at your highest level and get noticed by top D1 programs and professional teams. Every session is built around you and your goals, so you can see real progress and dominate on the field.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

What a Legacy Pitching Lab Session Looks Like

Each session is 2 hours and fully individualized to the athlete.

Hour 1 – Movement Prep, Activation & Throwing Mechanics

We begin with a structured warm-up focused on mobility, stability, and active movement. Athletes learn specific drills designed to help their mechanics “click” faster before throwing. This phase prepares the body to move efficiently, reduces injury risk, and sets the foundation for high-quality throwing.

Once throwing begins, mechanics are analyzed in real time. Athletes receive clear, actionable coaching cues to make immediate adjustments. Every throw has intent, and every adjustment is made with the goal of creating real, measurable results.

When appropriate, athletes will transition into a bullpen. During bullpens:

Velocity is recorded using a radar gun

Throws are recorded for video analysis

Mechanics are broken down on the spot

Immediate reinforcement is provided to maximize efficiency and performance

This allows athletes to connect what they feel, what they see, and what actually produces results.

Hour 2 – Recovery Reset & Physical Development (Day-Dependent)

After the throwing or bullpen work, the athlete takes a brief rest period to reset and recover.

The focus of Hour 2 depends on the athlete’s training day, workload, and needs. Athletes will not complete heavy mobility and strength training on the same day. Instead, sessions are structured intentionally to maximize adaptation and recovery.

Depending on the day, Hour 2 will include one of the following:

Targeted Mobility & Movement Work

Designed to improve range of motion, movement quality, and mechanical efficiency while supporting arm health.

OR

Customized Strength Training

Built specifically to support durability, velocity development, and long-term performance.

Each session concludes with a structured cool down to promote recovery and continued progression.

Baseball has been my life, from competing as a Low-A professional pitcher to now coaching the next generation of pitchers. I’m passionate about understanding what makes athletes succeed and finding ways to amplify their potential. Through Legacy Pitching Lab, I combine my professional experience with modern, data-driven training methods to help pitchers improve velocity, mechanics, strength, and overall performance while staying healthy and confident. Having thrown 95 MPH this year, I bring firsthand experience at an elite level to every athlete I work with. The best coach I’ve ever had is life itself. Life forces you to face challenges you’re not ready for, pushing you to adapt, learn, and grow in ways you never expected. When you are prepared, it keeps you in check, reminding you that progress requires discipline, resilience, and constant self-reflection.

Life has taught me lessons that no single coach could, shaping my mindset, work ethic, and approach to development — both on and off the field. Every challenge has been a teaching moment, and I carry those lessons into every session I coach today.

I’m someone who obsesses over improvement — whether it’s my own pitching or helping athletes grow, I analyze, adjust, and refine constantly. I treat every athlete as both a student and a teacher, learning as much from them as they learn from me. I combine data-driven methods with feel, respecting both the science of pitching and the nuances that numbers can’t capture. My focus is always on results done safely, helping pitchers gain velocity, improve mechanics, and build strength while minimizing injury risk. Beyond the field, I care about instilling discipline, purpose, and habits that carry over into life, because developing great athletes means helping develop great people.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
