Get to know Brooke

College athlete and coach helping young players build skills and confidence.

My name is Brooke and I have been playing softball my entire life. I competed in travel ball for eight years with the Athletics Mercado Organization and played three years at the NCAA Division III level at Pomona-Pitzer College before transitioning into a coaching and analytics role for our program. I now use Blast Motion and Rapsodo technology to analyze mechanics and build personalized development plans for athletes at the collegiate level. As a coach, I bring that same attention to detail to every lesson. I believe in teaching the game the right way, building real skills and real confidence, and making sure every athlete leaves a session having learned something specific and actionable. I am patient, prepared, and genuinely invested in each athlete I work with. Your daughter will be in good hands.

About me

My name is Brooke and I have been playing softball my whole life. I grew up competing in travel ball with the Athletics Mercado Organization for eight years before earning a spot on the Pomona-Pitzer varsity roster, where I played three years at the NCAA Division III level. After a medical retirement from playing, I became the Data Analyst and Team Manager for our program. I am currently a senior at Pomona College studying Data Science and Public Policy. Softball has shaped who I am, and coaching is my way of giving that back.

I approach coaching the same way I approach player development at the college level: by paying attention to the details that actually matter. I use my background in performance analytics to identify what is and is not working in a player's mechanics, and I build from there with drills and reps that are specific to that athlete. I do not give generic instruction. Every session is focused on what that player needs to improve, explained in a way they can actually understand and apply.

Every session starts with a proper warmup to get the body ready and prevent injury. From there we move into mechanics and targeted drills based on what we are working on that day. We close with live reps to apply what we practiced in a more game-realistic setting. I always end with clear takeaways so the athlete knows exactly what to keep working on before the next session.

I played competitive softball for 15 years, including eight years of travel ball with the Athletics Mercado Organization and three years at the NCAA Division III level at Pomona-Pitzer College. I am a three-time NFCA Scholar Athlete and recipient of the Scholar-Athlete Award and Coaches Award. After a medical retirement from playing, I transitioned into a Data Analyst and Team Manager role for the Pomona-Pitzer softball program, where I analyze Blast Motion and Rapsodo performance data for 60 or more athletes and build individualized development reports for coaches.

The coaches who made the biggest impact on me were the ones who took the time to understand how I specifically learned and adjusted their approach accordingly. They held me to a high standard but made me feel capable of meeting it. They were honest, prepared, and genuinely invested in my growth as a player and a person. Those are the qualities I try to bring to every athlete I work with.

I am reliable, prepared, and genuinely invested in every athlete I work with. I will always show up on time, come with a plan, and give your athlete my full attention for the entire session. I am patient with beginners and honest with competitive players who want real feedback. My goal is for every athlete to leave each session having learned something specific they can build on, and for parents to feel confident that their daughter is developing real skills in a positive environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

  • Good Fit Guarantee — If your first lesson isn't the right fit, we'll move your lesson credit to a new coach. No hassle.

  • Coach no-shows — You'll be fully credited and we'll help you find a replacement.

  • Flexible credits — Unused lessons last 12 months and can be used with any coach on the platform.
