My passion is helping young basketball players build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and grow into well-rounded athletes who love the game. With a background in coaching and Sports & Exercise Science, I create personalized training plans that meet each athlete where they are and help them reach the next level. My sessions combine skill development, basketball IQ, strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and mindset training to help players improve both on and off the court. I love partnering with families to create a positive, encouraging environment where athletes feel challenged, supported, and motivated to grow. About Me:

Hi! I’m Briana, and basketball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I played the game for 15 years and have spent the last 4 years coaching athletes of all ages. Growing up in a family of talented athletes taught me the value of hard work, discipline, and perseverance—lessons that continue to shape the way I coach today.

I’m also a wife and proud mom of three, so I understand the importance of creating a positive, encouraging environment where young athletes feel supported as they grow. My goal isn’t just to help players become better at basketball—it’s to help them become confident, resilient, and coachable individuals who carry those qualities into every area of life.

My coaching combines personalized skill development, basketball IQ, strength and conditioning, and mindset training to help athletes reach their full potential. Whether your athlete is just learning the game or striving to compete at the next level, I’m passionate about helping them improve while keeping the process fun, challenging, and rewarding.

A typical season with me as your personal basketball coach will be a structured, comprehensive, and tailored experience designed to help you maximize your potential. Here’s what you can expect:

Pre-Season (4–6 Weeks)

Focus: Assessment, Goal Setting, and Building a Strong Foundation

1. Initial Assessment

• I’ll evaluate your current skill level, fitness, and basketball IQ through drills, scrimmages, and performance metrics.

• Together, we’ll set clear goals for the season, both short-term (specific skills) and long-term (overall performance).

2. Customized Plan Development

• I’ll create a personalized training plan that addresses your strengths, areas for improvement, and specific objectives.

• We’ll focus on building a solid foundation of conditioning, injury prevention, and fundamental skills.

3. Skill Refinement and Conditioning

• We’ll sharpen your fundamentals, including ball-handling, shooting mechanics, footwork, and defensive techniques.

• Strength and agility training will be incorporated to improve your endurance and explosiveness.

4. Basketball IQ Development

• I’ll guide you through game concepts like spacing, movement, and situational awareness using drills and film study.

In-Season (8–12 Weeks)

Focus: Performance Optimization and Game Readiness

1. Advanced Skill Training

• We’ll work on advanced moves, position-specific skills, and decision-making under game-like conditions.

• Training sessions will align with your role on your team to ensure you’re ready for game day.

2. Game Preparation

• I’ll simulate real game conditions through scrimmages, pressure drills, and situational challenges.

• Mental preparation will be a priority, including visualization techniques and confidence-building exercises.

Post-Season (4–6 Weeks)

Focus: Reflection, Recovery, and Long-Term Growth

1. Season Review

• We’ll analyze your season’s highlights and challenges, celebrating your achievements and identifying growth areas.

• Together, we’ll set new goals for the offseason.

2. Recovery and Maintenance

• I’ll guide you through rest and rehabilitation to address any physical wear from the season.

• Light conditioning will keep you fit without overexertion.

3. Offseason Preparation

• We’ll start laying the groundwork for the next phase of your development, focusing on new skills and broader growth.

4. Mindset and Leadership Development

• I’ll help you develop your mental toughness, leadership skills, and teamwork abilities to continue growing off the court.

Weekly Structure During the Season

• 2–3 Skill Training Sessions (1–2 hours each): Focused on personalized drills and game-specific skills.

• 1 Conditioning Session (1 hour): Strength, agility, and endurance training.

• Game Analysis or Film Study (Optional, 30–60 minutes): Reviewing games to refine strategies and decision-making.

• Check-ins and Recovery: I’ll ensure you’re balancing physical intensity with mental well-being.

The best coach I had was my high school assistant coach because she had an incredible ability to work with my individual skills, strengths, and weaknesses to help me excel in my position. She was tough but patient, pushing me to improve while also understanding my pace of learning. She also showed me the importance of strategy and how, in some situations, it can outweigh raw skill.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
