About Me:

Baseball has given me opportunities that I will always be grateful for, and my goal is to help the next generation do the same. As a former Division I player and collegiate coach, I understand the challenges athletes face throughout their development. I take pride in building relationships, creating individualized plans, and helping players gain the skills, confidence, and exposure needed to succeed at the next level.

How I can help you improve your game:

I help athletes improve their game by identifying their strengths, weaknesses, and goals, then creating a personalized development plan tailored to their needs. Through skill instruction, video analysis, performance tracking, and game-like training environments, I help players build better mechanics, improve decision-making, and gain confidence. Beyond the physical side of the game, I also provide guidance on mental performance, recruiting, and what it takes to compete at the next level. My goal is not just to make athletes better players, but to help them become more complete competitors.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

Every session begins with a conversation about how the athlete is feeling, what they have been working on, and any goals or challenges they are currently facing. From there, we move into a structured training plan that focuses on the athlete's individual needs. Sessions may include mechanical instruction, drill work, video analysis, game-like competition, and performance feedback. Rather than simply getting repetitions, athletes learn why they are making adjustments and how those changes apply to game situations. Each session concludes with clear takeaways, at-home drills, and a plan for continued improvement before the next lesson.

Career summary and accomplishments:

I am a former collegiate baseball player and coach with experience at the high school, collegiate, summer collegiate, and professional development levels. As a four-year varsity player, I earned All-Conference and All-State honors, was selected to the Under Armour State Games team, and was named MVP of the 2015 Battle of the Border Games. During the summer of 2015, I pitched for the Midland Redskins, where I posted a 0.56 ERA—the lowest single-season ERA in organization history.

I began my collegiate career at Appalachian State University, serving as a freshman starting pitcher. During my first season, I earned Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week honors after throwing seven scoreless innings against Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball and finished the year leading the team in ERA while logging 77.1 innings. The following summer, I pitched for the Wilmington Sharks of the Coastal Plain League, setting the program's single-game strikeout record while throwing a complete-game shutout on just 93 pitches.

After transferring to University of North Carolina Wilmington, I became a key bullpen arm, helping the program win two conference championships and compete in two NCAA Regionals. Following my playing career, I served as a volunteer assistant coach at North Carolina A&T State University, where I helped develop multiple professional players. Since then, I have coached travel baseball and player development programs, helping more than 100 athletes advance to the collegiate level and beyond.

Best coach I ever had:

Too many coaches to name so I will list a few:

Mark Scalf

Randy Hood

Justin Aspegren

Rod Gorham

Carmine Pagano

Matt Myers

Matt Williams

And so many others have helped mold me into the person I am today.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I can relate to athletes because I have experienced the game firsthand as a player at the high school, collegiate, and summer collegiate levels. My coaching philosophy centers on building strong relationships and understanding each athlete as an individual, recognizing that every player develops differently. By learning each player's strengths, weaknesses, goals, and learning style, I can provide personalized instruction and help them make the adjustments needed to maximize their potential. Through my experience in the game, I have also developed an extensive network of collegiate coaches, professional scouts, and baseball contacts, allowing me to provide valuable guidance, mentorship, and exposure opportunities for athletes pursuing the next level of competition.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

  • Good Fit Guarantee — If your first lesson isn't the right fit, we'll move your lesson credit to a new coach. No hassle.
