Helping athletes grow their skills, confidence, and mindset on and off the field

I’m a coach and current athlete with over 10 years of experience working with youth and high school athletes through team coaching and private training. I started coaching soccer as a teenager and have since helped athletes develop their technical skills, confidence, conditioning, and understanding of the game in both individual and team settings. I have also coached high school girls flag football, focusing on skill development, game IQ, teamwork, and creating a positive but competitive environment for athletes to grow. In addition to coaching, I currently compete in women’s tackle football with the Utah Falconz in the WNFC and women’s flag football with Utah Sting. Playing at a high level has taught me the importance of discipline, communication, resilience, and consistency, and it allows me to connect with athletes from firsthand experience. Because I am actively training and competing myself, I understand both the physical and mental side of sports and what it takes to improve. My coaching philosophy centers around helping athletes become more confident, skilled, and mentally strong both on and off the field. I focus heavily on fundamentals, communication, and building trust with athletes so they feel supported while still being challenged to improve. My background in psychology also gives me a strong understanding of sports psychology, motivation, and athlete development, which helps me coach athletes in a way that is encouraging, adaptable, and effective. My goal is always to help athletes leave training feeling more confident, motivated, and excited about their progress.

About Me:

I grew up playing competitive soccer and spent years training at a high level with the goal of continuing my career collegiately. After suffering an ACL tear that ultimately cost me my scholarship opportunity, I shifted my focus toward understanding athletic performance, recovery, and injury prevention. That experience completely changed the way I approach sports and coaching. It taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of developing athletes both physically and mentally.

Since then, I have spent over 10 years coaching youth and high school athletes through team coaching and private training sessions. I have coached soccer and high school girls flag football while also continuing my own athletic journey as a current women’s tackle football player for the Utah Falconz in the WNFC and a women’s flag football player for Utah Sting.

As both a coach and active athlete, I understand firsthand the work, confidence, and mindset required to improve and compete. My goal is to help athletes not only become more skilled players, but also more confident, disciplined, and resilient people on and off the field.

How I can help you improve your game:

I can help athletes improve their game by focusing on the fundamentals that translate directly into confidence and performance on the field. My training emphasizes footwork, agility, conditioning, game IQ, technique, and overall athletic development while tailoring sessions to each athlete’s skill level and goals. Whether an athlete is just starting out or preparing for competitive play, I focus on building strong habits and helping them understand the “why” behind what they are learning so they can apply it during games.

Because I have experience both coaching and competing at a high level, I also understand the mental side of sports. I help athletes develop confidence, resilience, communication, and discipline while creating an environment that is challenging, supportive, and encouraging. My goal is for every athlete to leave training feeling more skilled, motivated, and confident in their ability to improve.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

A typical training session with me focuses heavily on building athleticism, confidence, and strong fundamentals through high-repetition, game-focused training. Sessions usually begin with agility, speed, and footwork work to improve coordination, explosiveness, and overall movement. At the beginning of working with a new athlete, I like to do an assessment to understand their current skill level, strengths, weaknesses, and goals so training can be personalized to what they need most.

From there, we focus on building a strong foundation first. I believe athletes improve the fastest when the basics are done correctly, so we spend time making sure footwork, technique, mechanics, and overall understanding are solid before progressing into more advanced skills and game situations. As athletes improve, sessions continue to build layer by layer so they are constantly learning, developing, and gaining confidence.

I also make sure athletes are consistently getting touches, actively moving, and learning throughout the session. Beyond physical skills, I spend time teaching game IQ, situational awareness, decision-making, and talking through gameplay concepts so athletes understand not just what to do, but why they are doing it.

Conditioning is also a major part of my training philosophy, but I believe conditioning should match the demands of the athlete’s sport and position. Different sports require different movement patterns, endurance levels, and bursts of energy, so I tailor conditioning specifically to what athletes will actually experience in competition. A soccer player, wide receiver, and lineman all require different types of conditioning, and I structure sessions accordingly to help athletes perform more effectively in game situations.

My goal is for every session to feel productive, challenging, and rewarding while helping athletes become smarter, stronger, and more confident competitors.

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I ever had was Luis Sanes. He completely changed the trajectory of my soccer career and taught me what it truly means to be both a competitor and an athlete. He was tough, demanding, and held us to a very high standard, but he was also fair. There was never favoritism or politics involved. The athletes who worked the hardest and performed the best earned their opportunities, and that created a culture built on accountability, discipline, and trust.

Luis believed that athletes were capable of far more than they thought if they were willing to put in the work. His practices were intense, conditioning was demanding, and he constantly pushed us outside of our comfort zones, but because of that, our skills and fitness improved tremendously. He cared deeply about development and expected excellence from everyone because he genuinely believed we could achieve it.

What also made him so impactful was his own story and experience. Having played at the World Cup level, he brought a level of knowledge, professionalism, and passion that inspired the athletes around him. Despite everything he accomplished, he never coached from ego. He worked incredibly hard for his players and invested fully into helping us improve. He is a huge reason why I value hard work, accountability, conditioning, and athlete development so much in my own coaching today.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Athletes and parents should know that I genuinely care about the long-term development of the athletes I work with. My goal is not just to run a workout or training session, but to help athletes become the best version of themselves both physically and mentally. When an athlete works with me, I want them to feel fully supported, challenged, and invested in throughout their development process.

I believe athlete development works best when there is strong communication, consistency, and trust. I want the athletes I train to feel comfortable asking questions, seeking feedback, and communicating with me outside of sessions when needed. I take a comprehensive approach to training that focuses not only on skills and conditioning, but also confidence, game IQ, discipline, mindset, and overall athletic growth.

Every athlete develops at a different pace, so I prioritize individualized training and building strong foundations before progressing to more advanced skills. I will always push athletes to improve while still creating an encouraging environment where they feel confident and motivated to grow.

At the end of the day, I truly want athletes to succeed, and I am willing to invest the time, energy, and effort necessary to help them reach their potential.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
