Athletic Background
Summary of Career and Accomplishments
Division 1 Basketball Player - Pepperdine University (Where I was recruited by and played under a WNBA and Olympic Champion).
Played at Cochise Community College before D1 where we won conference and regional titles both years.
Won 2 State Championship in High School, as well as Female Athlete of the Year.
Currently work as Graduate Assistant for California Baptist Women's Basketball.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
Coach Lee Williams - Head Coach for Team Fusion in El Paso, Texas.
He is a HUGE reason why I was able to play at the collegiate level. I am undersized and did not have any college offers going into my senior year of high school. He is the one who told me exactly what I needed to do and the extra work I needed to put in and it all paid off for me.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
My journey as a student-athlete was not always easy as I had to work a lot harder than my peers to make it to Division 1. I am undersized and went the Junior College route before living my dream and playing at the highest collegiate level. That being said, I know what it takes to achieve goals and I am passionate about self-belief and putting in the work. A big reason why I got my Master's Degree in Sport and Performance Psychology is because there are so many athletes (like myself) who get lost in trying to be great. They put so much pressure on themselves that they begin to lose their love for the game. Given the proper mental tools to become confident and resilient are crucial to prevent burnout and to help athletes perform their best.

How can you help someone improve their game?
I am an excellent skills trainer and I understand how to implement drills that will translate into game-like situations. I can help improve player's on-court IQ and improve their confidence. I am especially good at improving ball-handling and shooting technique to improve consistency.
What does a typical training session look like?
I typically start out with a brief warmup (dynamic stretching), then go right into stationary and on-the-move ball handling drills. Next, I start with some form of layup drills or form-shooting drills to work on their "touch" and get them ready to go full speed. For the next part of the workout this where I will get into specific game-like reps. I will typically play defense and show them different sequences of drives to the basket, shots off the dribble, catch and shoot shots, as well as post moves. All of this depends on what the athlete's goals are for their training. I typically end with a competitive shooting drill and free throws.
