Wake up feeling like you can work to achieve more than what you wanted

I want to work with people who love what they do and have a drive to be better than the person next to them. I want drive, compassion, and a work ethic that goes beyond what others think. I can provide the resources to push you to the next level. We will work, and we will be dedicated to the craft, but we will also have a good time doing it. I believe that you can be greater than what you think, and I am dedicated to making you great. There's nothing complicated about it, so let's get to work!

Get to know Coach Austin

About Me:

Some things to know about me include me being a swimmer for 10+ years, being a professional musician, and being a swim coach/teacher for the past 2 years. I really do like to help people learn about what they can do and accomplish in the water and outside the water, just because it makes me happy seeing the outcome they want. I demand a lot regarding the effort put into each and every practice, but I want to make it known that we will have fun and enjoy the sport, so that we get the motivation to continue working on it. I also do a lot of community work outside of my careers because I believe that is also a big step in making the world a better place for everyone. Lastly, I would like to say that this sport and activity relates to life in so many different ways, and so that is another reason why I love sharing it with others.

How I can help you improve your game:

So I have a very versatile background when it comes to this sport due to my experience in other leagues/coaching opportunities. Along with that, I make sure that my one-liner is as true as can be. Technique always comes first because, in order to start, you have to master the technique. Then you add on what you can do in the water, stamina, and speed-wise, which then leads to perfecting the strokes and making them look, feel, and operate seamlessly. This is how I can help improve your game, because I know the game and I know what it is like to be in the thick of it. I am not only a coach but someone you can ask questions about anything to help/improve any struggles you are dealing with.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

1. A typical training session can vary, but I like to keep the same 4 parts, starting with warming up the same every day, just so that you have consistency to always stretch, get ready, and perform at your highest before you even start the training.

2. Then we will dive into the main struggle of the day and any other concerns we have about what we are dealing with. Along with that, this is the time when, if you have any questions about anything, you can ask them.

3. Then, after our main set, we will have a break to evaluate what we just went over and go through more inconsistencies/troubles we may have had during the main set.

4. Then lastly, to finish off our second set, we will cool down and make sure our bodies are in good shape before we leave so that we do not have to deal with cramping, pulled muscles, etc.

Career summary and accomplishments:

I have competed in many different leagues and have been a consistent top finisher in all of the groups I have made it into below. Along with that, I have been a competitive swimmer for 10+ years, so I do know the commitment needed for a rigorous sport like swimming. 2024- Daniel Boone PIAA State Team 2023- Summer County Swim Championships 2023- Daniel Boone District Team 2022- Summer County Swim Championships 2022- Daniel Boone District Team 2022- YMCA District Championship Qualifier 2021- Summer County Swim Championships 2021- Daniel Boone District Team 2021- YMCA District Championship Qualifier 2019- YMCA District Championship Qualifier 2019- Summer County Swim Championships 2018- YMCA District Championship Qualifier 2018- Summer County Swim Championships 2017- YMCA District Championship Qualifier 2017- Summer County Swim Championships 2016- YMCA District Championship Qualifier 2016- Summer County Swim Championships

Best coach I ever had:

The best coach I ever had was my main YMCA swim team coach because they were the ones who found the potential I had and used it to the best of their ability while also pushing me beyond what I thought my body could do. We also had a lot of fun doing it.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

I was also an athlete. We all know what this sport demands from parents and athletes alike, so it makes sense that we want to work as hard as we do. I also want you to know a promise I make to all families, because swimming really is a family commitment.

I promise to make your time worth it and count towards something hard to get, success.

These things take time, but with what I can bring to the table, you won't regret picking me as your option. I know a lot of coaches say that, but I can assure you that this is the best path to be great. For me, there is not only a drive to help athletes, but there is also a drive to make it worth it for the family. That is what I care about, and that is the message I want you to know me for.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you find yourself needing to cancel or adjust your booking within 24 hours of your purchase, just let us know. We'll provide a refund - no questions asked. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we're here to support your learning journey.

Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.

AU was created by former collegiate and professional athletes. We understand the benefits of training with a private coach. It develops discipline, boosts confidence, and provides an undeniable advantage - whether you are just learning the game or looking to earn a college scholarship. All AU coaches are required to pass a thorough onboarding process and we proudly showcase a 10% acceptance rate, so you can trust you're training with the best.

At the end of the day, our mission is to provide athletes with better opportunities to succeed through coaching. You won't find a platform, and group of dedicated specialists, more excited to help you achieve your athletic goals!
