Athletic Background
Summary of Career and Accomplishments
I have played many sports growing up in South Florida. My main sport is Water Polo. In middle school I was asking to play varsity for the high school team. I was nervous but also super excited. My coach saw potential in me, so I made sure I didn't disappoint her. My sophomore year we won states and had 2 goals. Senior year was captain and led the team to an almost undefeated season.
I also played for the junior national team of Puerto Rico. With them we travel to Argentina in August 2013 for the Pan American games. From there we qualified to World Games which was in Spain 2014.
Riptides was the name of my club water polo team, where we went to Junior Olympics each Summer until I was 18. There we played all the top teams all over the U.S. We always ranked in the 10 when ending that tournament. My first year I went we won in our age group. We have also won the South Florida Sunshine State tournament.
Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
The best coach I've ever had was my high school coach who was also my middle school and club coach. Her name is Coach Carrol. She pushed me further than I thought I can go. That is what drove me to be the best that I can be for my team. She had me playing varsity water polo in middle school. I was challenged like no other. Was I beat to the end of the pool sometimes, yes. There were other times where I beat Seniors down the pool. Coach Carrol saw something in me as soon as I got in the pool. Because of her I became a great leader and teammate. I had gone to states multiple times but only won once. Each time I made sure I gave it my all not only for me but Carrol as well. I still keep in contact with her and go see her when I'm home. She always responds gratitude and the times she had coaching me. She was always there for me when I needed it and now I'm there for her to check up on her. Coach Carrol is the reason I love water polo.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
I am hard worker and I know what it takes to get to the level of a D1 athlete, or just being a top athlete. I will push my athletes to their best ability. As once an athlete there is more to just lifting heavy and being strong. Athletes can easily hurt themselves. I had torn my labrum and rotator cuff summer before entering college. That was a small step back but I worked on getting back in pool. I don't want athletes have to go through that. That is why I take injury prevention and mobility serious. Most importantly is pushing the athletes and making sure that they see a difference in how they are playing and moving. Whether or not they want to keep there athletic adventure the highest level. I will take care of my athletes and make sure their needs are met.

Such as, volleyball, basketball, football, soccer, field hockey, raquette ball, baseball and lacrosse. Now I am Charleston, SC and I have worked with a few rugby players and some soccer players.
How can you help someone improve their game?
One of the main things that can help improve an athlete's game is how they move, reaction, core, stability and more. When it comes to any sport there is more to it than just hitting a ball or throwing a ball. An athlete needs to make sure that their core is strong when it comes to rotation. Need to make sure their shoulder has enough range of motion (mobility) in order to be able to throw the ball fully. Hips are strong and able to twist and rotate and any movement. I want to see what it is the athlete thinks they are lacking and make sure we can improve that area.
What does a typical training session look like?
Typical training session is based on what the athlete is training for. We always start out with mobility and preventive injury work. From there we will get the body moving with some active warm up exercises. Now, depending on the position the athlete plays that will also take a big a role for the whole workout. Strength and Condition and plyometrics will be one of our focuses. We will mimic some of the movements that is done with the sport and transfer that to the weight room and see how we can improve. Then ending with some abs and stretching.
