Athletic Background

Summary of Career and Accomplishments
My career with Strength and Conditioning, started in Northern Grand Rapids, I went to gym facilities such as the Wolverine YMCA in Belmont, MVP Sportsplex in Kentwood, Family Fitness in Walker, and Planet fitness from time to time. I had a friend that was in Mens Physique competing as a novice bodybuilder, and I had been around him enough before his transformation enough to notice how amazing he looked after the fact. I graduated highschool, and began my education at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI, in business. Both my fitness and my education really took off while I was there. I've trained at branches by Anytime fitness, Planet fitness, Family Fitness, YMCA, MVP, school gyms, and I've also done the DVD programs like P90X. I met another friend who currently owns his own company as a celebrity fitness model and trainer. All bonding at Western, this is when I completed my first couple years of teaching others, bodybuilding, and I was able to sucessfully transform 10+ friends through the tips of both online guides/tips/and in person training. Who is the best coach you ever had and why?
I had two great coaches, Joe Wachs - BodybyWachs, and Jonathan Childress - Childress Fitness. Both helped me learn a great deal about bodybuilding and achieving a great physique. But other sources of education came from NASM, NCSF, and personal experience.
What should athletes and parents know about you?
For those interested in working with me, you should know: I am a spear head teacher, I find the best way for a person to learn something is to do it themselves; at-least that's how it is with fitness. Although, I would never have a client go into an exercise without safety equipment, or myself, such as a weight belt, and with me by their side prior to starting a risky but effective exercise. Resistance training is meditation, its the founding principle as to why people love sports, in my opinion. My close circle, and previous clients, would say that I am very friendly, mostly honest, intelligent, hardworking, and love being surrounded by athletes. Generally speaking I just love connecting with people, and also have a big passion for passing on the expertise young folks need to succeed.

Coaching Background

Summary of Coaching Background
Most of my personal training experience was done at a Planet fitness in Kalamazoo, and a Powerhouse gym, in Portage, Michigan. I also provided all of the online guides and tips for these clients at the same time. Over the course of four years, I taught and physically trained, 10+ clients and successfully transformed 90% percent of them. I do also have a passion for both soccer, and baseball, I even love snowboarding if anyone is interested in that. but bodybuilding is what my focus is mainly on.
How can you help someone improve their game?
I am essentially a motivator and teacher for whoever needs it. Mostly because people who need to improve at a sport, or get into better shape, usually just need a push of motivation, and a little more expertise to improve to get to their goals. I would love to help anyone who needs these things in their lives.
What does a typical training session look like?
A session with me, would last roughly 25-35 minutes, I try not to go longer than that simply because if you're weight training for longer than that amount of time, you're likely not training harder enough, or training properly. The only exceptions to this case would be those currently on performance enhancing drugs, who could recover from that duration of training, and the majority of people who simply want to get into shape, don't take PEDs, and should not consider taking them. Maximizing time, and performing workouts properly, is the goal here.
