I was able to earn myself a full ride scholarship to a top university, Benedictine Univerisity, and want to help those who are seeking the same. I am able to really break down your swing or fielding mechanics so you truly understand the meaning towards the way you play the game. If the athlete is looking to earn a scholarship to play in college I can help as well as I know coaches who are looking for players and also work with a professional scout who is constantly looking for kids to send to college. About Me:
I played high school varsity baseball at Pomona High school. There I earned All first team CIF multiple times, won league MVP 2x. My senior year I was able to earn a full ride scholarship to play college baseball at Benedictine University in Arizona. While my time there, we were ranked anywhere between 15-20th in the country for NAIA. While playing there I mostly played 2nd base and shortstop. I’ve been able to play in a good summer league in the mid west where I was able to learn so much more about the game. As well as playing with players at the highest level in college baseball.
How I can help you improve your game:
I can help someone improve their game in many ways if they are willing to listen and put in the work. I’ve been blessed enough to be coached and work around nothing but professional coaches, players, scouts so I know the stuff I teach is what they look for at the next level. I’m able to adapt to different players and what things will clique for them. The players I have been working with over the last couple months have been getting good results in game.
What a typical training session looks like with me:
A typical training session with me starts off with my evaluating your swing and the mechanical part of it. Once I start tweaking the players swing, we will get into “tee work”. I will break down the swing slowly, doing different tee drills so the athlete can get a feel of what there doing. Once we are done with tee, we usually go into some live BP. If needed, we will do front side toss but not ideal as I like having the players see game like pitches. This all done within an hour to an hour and a half time frame.
Career summary and accomplishments:
I coach with an organization called Badlands baseball, one of the more elite travel teams in California. We currently have had over 120 college commitments over the last couple years. I’ve coached kids from ages of 8u all the way up to the college level. I have also been doing private hitting and fielding lessons over the last few months.
Best coach I ever had:
The best coaches I’ve ever had were Raul Santellanes, Matt Jaimes and Angel Jaimes. All three of these coaches have had a huge impact in my life as they showed me from the very start how to play the game the right way. Matt Jaimes is now a scout for the Kansas City Royals, who I currently help coach with. Angel Jaimes is one of the most well known hitting coaches in Southern California who has multiple players in the MLB. Raul Santellanes who is also my father has played for team USA and pitched for them, also has coached many high level organizations.

What parents and athletes should know about me is that I’m going to teach them not only the right mechanics towards their swing or defensive but also how to play the game the correct way. I currently coach with Badlands organization, there we have many high level recruits so I am blessed to be able to talk to multiple college coaches about kids and what they look for. I’ve been helping kids with bettering there skills the last 2-3 years from the elementary level all the way up to the college level.

How do I contact a coach?
If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.
How do I book lessons?
Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.
Can I pay my coach via Venmo or cash?
Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!
What if I don't feel comfortable paying online?
We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.
Where will the coach hold their lessons?
Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.
When is the coach available to train?
Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
What if I don't love the first lesson?
The AU guarantee (refund policy) has you covered! If you determine the coach isn't a good fit after your first lesson, let us know within 24 hours and you're eligible for a refund. We will also be happy to recommend another coach - be sure to contact our support team.
Do coaches work with both kids & adults?
Our coaches are open to helping athletes of any age and skill level. Please message your desired coach to ensure their skillset fits your needs.
