“Build skill. Build character. Build winners.

I bring high-level playing experience, including championship success and international competition, into every session. This allows players to learn real-game concepts, proven techniques, and what it takes to compete at a higher level.

About me

I was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, and later moved to Virginia, where my basketball journey began. I started playing organized recreational basketball at the age of 10 and quickly developed a passion for the game. Over the next four years, I competed in AAU basketball, including the opportunity to play for the nationally recognized Boo Williams program, one of the premier grassroots basketball organizations in the country.

As a standout high school athlete, I helped lead the team to Regional and State Championship titles while establishing being one of the top-ranked players in my graduating class. My success earned the opportunity to continue my career at Hampton University, where I played for three years and became one of the program’s most accomplished student-athletes.

During my collegiate career, I helped lead Hampton University to three conference championships while earning numerous individual honors, including 2X Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-MEAC, Virginia Best In- State Player of the Year in 2014, and Virginia Best In- State Defensive Player of the Year 2014.

Following college, I played professionally overseas for three years, gaining valuable international experience and competing against elite talent from around the world. My professional career further strengthened, understanding of the game, player development, and the dedication required to perform at the highest levels.

I've used my extensive playing experience, championship pedigree, and passion for mentoring young athletes to help players reach their full potential. I'm committed to teaching the fundamentals of basketball, developing strong character, and creating a culture built on discipline, accountability, teamwork, and excellence.

My approach is to develop your skills, strengthen your basketball IQ, build confidence, and create winning habits through purposeful training, consistent feedback, and accountability.

A typical basketball training session with me will be designed to maximize development, build confidence, and reinforce game habits.

Throughout my basketball career, I have competed at a high level and achieved significant success, including winning championships and earning individual awards. I have had the opportunity to travel internationally to compete, which has allowed me to develop my game against diverse styles of play and elite competition.

Overseas, I have been recognized with awards for my performance and contributions to my teams. In addition to on-court achievements, I have built lasting relationships with talented teammates and learned from respected coaches across different countries and competitive environments. These experiences have strengthened both my skills and understanding of the game at a global level.

The best basketball coach I ever had was my REC team coach, Daryl Jenkins. He was my first coach, and what I appreciated most about him was his patience. He took the time to teach me the game even when I didn’t fully understand it, breaking things down in a way I could learn and grow from. More importantly, he always believed in me and made me feel like I could become the best version of myself as a player. His encouragement and confidence in me had a lasting impact and helped shape how I view coaching and player development today.

Athletes and parents should know that I’m a coach who values development, discipline, and effort just as much as talent. My focus is on helping players build strong fundamentals, improve their basketball IQ, and develop the confidence to compete under pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

  • Good Fit Guarantee — If your first lesson isn't the right fit, we'll move your lesson credit to a new coach. No hassle.
