About Me:

I am a former Division I volleyball player and the current Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. I have spent years developing athletes at the youth, club, and high school levels and understand what it takes to compete at a high level.

My training focuses on building strong technical fundamentals, improving volleyball IQ, and helping athletes become more confident and consistent on the court. I work with athletes on passing, serving, attacking, defensive positioning, and overall game awareness while also emphasizing coachability, work ethic, and attention to detail.

As both a player and coach, I know that small adjustments can make a big difference in an athlete’s performance. My goal is to create a positive and challenging training environment where athletes can grow, ask questions, and develop the skills they need to succeed during their season and beyond.

Whether you are new to volleyball or looking to elevate your game, I am committed to helping you become a stronger, smarter, and more confident player.

How I can help you improve your game:

I help athletes improve by focusing on the small details that make a big difference in performance. During training we break down skills step by step so athletes build strong fundamentals while also learning how to apply those skills in real game situations.

Sessions focus on areas such as passing consistency, serving accuracy, attacking mechanics, defensive positioning, and overall volleyball IQ. I also help athletes understand decision making on the court so they can read the game better and play with confidence.

My goal is not just to get more reps, but to make every rep intentional. Athletes leave sessions with clear feedback, improved technique, and drills they can continue practicing on their own so they keep improving between trainings.

What a typical training session looks like with me:

Each training session is structured, high energy, and tailored to the athlete’s goals and position. We begin with a quick dynamic warm up and ball control work to get comfortable with the ball and establish good technique.

From there, we focus on specific skill development such as passing, serving, attacking mechanics, defensive movement, or setting depending on what the athlete wants to improve. I break skills down step by step and provide real time feedback so athletes understand exactly what adjustments to make.

As the session progresses, we increase the intensity and incorporate game like drills that focus on decision making, movement, and consistency under pressure. I also share drills and tips athletes can practice on their own so they continue improving between sessions.

Career summary and accomplishments:

I am a former Division I volleyball player and the current Head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. I have experience coaching athletes at the youth, club, and high school levels and have worked with players at many stages of development, from beginners learning the fundamentals to competitive athletes preparing for varsity and club play.

Throughout my coaching career, I have focused on helping athletes build strong technical skills, improve their volleyball IQ, and develop the confidence needed to compete at a high level. My coaching emphasizes discipline, attention to detail, and creating a positive environment where athletes feel challenged and supported.

As both a player and coach, I understand the demands of competitive volleyball and what it takes to continue improving. I bring that experience into every session to help athletes develop the skills and mindset needed to succeed on and off the court.

Best coach I ever had:

My track coach was the best coach I ever had because he pushed me to be mentally tough while also helping me believe in what I was capable of. Track workouts demanded discipline, consistency, and the ability to push through discomfort, and he constantly reminded us that growth happens when you challenge yourself beyond what feels comfortable.

What stood out most was his attention to detail and his ability to hold athletes accountable while still being supportive. He created an environment where hard work was expected, but where athletes also felt motivated to give their best effort every day.

That experience shaped how I coach today. I believe in setting high standards, encouraging athletes to push themselves, and helping them build the confidence and resilience needed to succeed both in sports and in life.

What athletes and parents should know about me:

Athletes and parents should know that I care deeply about athlete development both on and off the court. I create a positive but challenging environment where athletes are encouraged to work hard, ask questions, and push themselves to improve.

I am very detail oriented and focus on building strong fundamentals, because those are the skills that allow athletes to be consistent and confident during games. I also emphasize coachability, effort, and a growth mindset so athletes develop habits that will help them succeed long term.

My goal in every session is to help athletes leave better than they arrived. That means improving their skills, building confidence, and helping them better understand the game so they can continue developing as players.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.
