Train with Purpose. Compete with Confidence.

I'm a former Division I track & field athlete at Tennessee State University and have spent the past 8+ years serving as a middle school head track & field coach. I specialize in the high jump, sprints and hurdles while coaching athletes across all track & field events, helping them build proper technique, confidence, and a strong work ethic. Whether your goal is making the team, improving your personal best, or competing at a higher level, I'm committed to creating personalized training that helps every athlete reach their full potential.

About me

I'm a former Division I track & field athlete at Tennessee State University, where I won multiple conference championships. For the past 8+ years, I've been a middle school head track & field coach with a passion for helping athletes develop their skills, confidence, and love for the sport. I specialize in the high jump and hurdles but enjoy working with athletes of all ages and experience levels to improve technique, athleticism, and overall performance. My goal is to create a positive, challenging environment where every athlete can grow both on and off the track.

My training is built around four key areas: fundamentals, technique, mentality, and performance training. I help athletes develop proper mechanics, improve speed, power, and explosiveness, build confidence under pressure, and develop the mindset needed to compete at their best. Every session is tailored to the athlete's goals and skill level, whether they're just getting started, looking to earn a spot on their school team, or striving to achieve new personal records. My goal is to help every athlete become a more confident, disciplined, and well-rounded competitor, both on and off the track.

Typical Training Session

Every lesson is personalized to the athlete's age, experience level, and goals, but a typical session follows this structure:

1. Dynamic Warm-Up (10–15 minutes)

Dynamic stretching and mobility exercises

Sprint drills and movement preparation

Activation exercises to reduce injury risk and prepare for training

2. Fundamentals & Technique (20–25 minutes)

Event-specific instruction (high jump, hurdles, sprints, jumps, etc.)

Proper body mechanics and form

Footwork, posture, rhythm, and technical corrections

Video analysis and feedback when appropriate

3. Performance Training (15–20 minutes)

Speed and acceleration development

Plyometrics and explosive power exercises

Agility, coordination, and balance drills

Strength and conditioning tailored to the athlete

4. Mental Performance (5–10 minutes)

Goal setting and performance mindset

Confidence-building techniques

Race and competition strategy

Learning how to handle pressure and stay focused

5. Cool Down & Recovery (5–10 minutes)

Light jogging or walking

Static stretching to improve flexibility and recovery

Review of key takeaways from the session

Discussion of at-home drills or training recommendations before the next lesson

My goal is for every athlete to leave each session more technically sound, physically prepared, mentally confident, and excited to continue improving.

The best coach I've ever had was my freshman running backs coach. What made him so special wasn't just his knowledge of the game, it was the way he believed in me before I fully believed in myself. No matter how I performed in practice or during a game, he always found a way to build my confidence. He knew exactly what to say when I needed encouragement, and he never let a mistake define me.

What I appreciated most was that he coached with me, not at me. He listened, asked questions, and worked collaboratively to help me improve instead of simply telling me what I was doing wrong. He created an environment where I wasn't afraid to make mistakes because I knew they were opportunities to learn and grow. That support gave me the confidence to play faster, trust my instincts, and become a better athlete.

His influence has stayed with me throughout my own athletic career and into my years as a coach. Today, I strive to be that same kind of coach for my athletes, someone who teaches fundamentals and technique while also building confidence, encouraging open communication, and helping each athlete believe in themselves. I want every athlete I coach to leave a session feeling more capable than when they arrived, just as I did after every conversation with him.

As a coach, I'm direct, honest, encouraging, and detail-oriented. I believe athletes improve the fastest when they receive clear, constructive feedback in a positive and supportive environment. I'll always be honest about where an athlete is today, but I'll also provide a plan to help them reach where they want to be.

I genuinely enjoy teaching and take pride in breaking down techniques into simple, easy-to-understand steps that athletes can apply immediately. Whether we're refining fundamentals, improving event-specific technique, building mental toughness, or increasing overall athletic performance, my goal is to help every athlete become more confident, more disciplined, and better prepared to succeed both in competition and in life.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re looking to message a coach for the first time, go to their profile and click “Send a Message”. A type box will show, where you can enter and send your message. To follow up with a coach you've already contacted, log into your account and find the 'Inbox' tab. You'll see your message history and be able to send another note.

Once you find a coach that fits your needs, go to their profile, select the package you'd like to purchase, and click 'Book Lessons'. Here, you can reserve your desired number of lessons along with the number of athletes who will be training. After sessions are booked, coordinate the dates/times for each session on your calendar - using the calendar is important since this is how your coach will get paid.

Paying AU coaches via cash, Venmo, or any 3rd party is strictly prohibited. AU coaches know this, but their partnership with us is to split all bookings 80/20 - so coaches keep 80%. We use our 20% to help them find clients & manage their business. Without the split, we wouldn't be able to help our coaches & community thrive!

We integrate with Stripe - the largest & most secure payment processor in the US - to facilitate bookings. Paying online is required, and it simplifies the process for our coaches since it helps track their schedule & earnings in one place. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

Each coach typically has at least one preferred training location. You can see the location(s) by going to your coach's profile and finding the 'Training Locations' section. If a coach doesn't have locations listed here, you can message the coach to see where they train. Some coaches are willing to travel to clients for lessons, or even meet halfway.

Each coach sets their own schedule for training. You can see a coach's general availability by going to their profile and finding the 'Availability' section - it will list the days and times. If a coach doesn't post their availability, or if your preferred coach doesn't have your desired times available but you want to double check, message them to see if they can work with your schedule.

  • Good Fit Guarantee — If your first lesson isn't the right fit, we'll move your lesson credit to a new coach. No hassle.

  • Easy rescheduling — Cancel or reschedule up to 4 hours before a lesson, no questions asked.

  • Coach no-shows — You'll be fully credited and we'll help you find a replacement.

  • Flexible credits — Unused lessons last 12 months and can be used with any coach on the platform.
